Where is Gisben going next?
To the venomous hounds territory
In a hive city, you will often find that its lower parts, the underhive, have abandoned factories that stretch for miles. These usually end up being claimed by powerful gangers for their terf. Even a barebones factory can be fortified to be turned into a strong fortress. It can also be lucrative if you're able to get the factory working again, which at least partially allows you to offer up cheap goods to the black market.
In one of these abandoned factories, a chemical plant had been made into the personal fort of a gang called the venomous hounds. They were a mostly female gang that was able to get part of the chemical plant working again and used it to create combat chemicals for them to use to defend their turf and recreational chemicals to sell. Gisben avoided the vents in their area because their chem operation gave off noxious smoke that made it into the vents and made it hard for him to walk through them.
Though Gisben found he could stomach the noxious fumes of the venomous hounds fort now that there was a prize that awaited him if he endured. So Gisben found a good position in the vents above the base of the venomous hounds, and he waited, watching their members as they went about their day. He had picked this specific place because of the gang's bad habits.
As rather using chems in battle or in the spare time, members had a tendency to overindulge. This caused a lot of younger recruits to die early but usually left the gang with a bunch of experienced users who knew their limits and how to best use the boost the chems they used gave. Another interesting side effect of their constant chem use gave them a rather pale skin tone that didn't take well to tattooing.
So as such, their bodies were perfect for his needs, and to make it even better, they didn't sell their dead to the corpse guild. Because if they did that, it would bring suspicion to their **** rate among recruits, causing a drop, so instead they turned their dead into mulch for a kind of grave/garden that they had in their fort.
Now the interesting part about this is that since it's hard to grow anything in the underhive that's not a parasite. Which means the garden never really amounts to anything but a few weeds and the occasional flower. This helps throw suspicion off the leadership of the gang for their high recruit **** rate but also means the mulcher that is used isn't watched all that well by the gangers.
This means if Gisben can find a way to be near the mulcher without being spotted by the gangers. He can grab some parts right before the body's go into mulcher, and it's unlikely that anyone will be any wiser. So with this plan in mind and the green noxious fumes hitting his face, causing his face to burn and his eyes to swell, Gisben began to lower himself down the vents and onto one of the higher platforms built into the makeshift fort of the venomous hounds.
Gisben managed to lower himself carefully and quietly, sticking to corners, and the shadows created by the venomous hounds madeshift bridges that connected their fort's internal watch towers made from salvage. Gisben was making full use of his short stature and the fact most members like to get high of their asses.
He was fully expecting to get shot if any of the sharp shooters with their syringe rifles weren't seeing strange creatures dancing beside him in whatever **** hallucination they were having. Luckily for Gisben, the venomous hounds were known more for their melee than their range, as they were demonstrating why that was.
Eventually he reached the mulcher, which was a big hulking thing. Now being close up to it, Gisben could see the mulcher was some modified forklift that had a bunch of saw blades put in front of it instead of the usual forks that somehow connected the back. Which meant whenever the saw blades hit someone, it would send meaty chunks out the back behind the driver.
So yes, from the looks of it, their mulcher was used for funeral details and gang warfare. Gisben decided that he needed to be quicker now that he knew it was also a war machine and not just something for funerals. Well, he could expect someone to be more active in watching it. More than likely, who ever usually drove it into battle, as they wouldn't want someone tampering with it and having it malfunction mid-battle on them.
So he quickly went to work, looking around and seeing a few gangers, but they were on other sides of the fort doing chores such as making chemicals or maintaining weapons and armor. So seeing he seemed to have a good opportunity, and the longer he stayed, the easier it was to catch him, he quickly made his way over to the pile of bodies next to the mulcher that were probably going to be mulcher in a bit.
As Gisben got into the pile of female bodies, trying to find the parts that fit best for what he was trying to do, he was unaware of what was happening behind him. So we'll say Gisben was totally focused on getting the best parts for his very first creation and only hope of bringing the true feminine grace of the ballet to the underhive. A figure was slowing, making their way forward behind Gisben, getting ready to ride a devastating blow.
"Well, now that won't do, now will it." The voice in Gisben's mind said in a kind gentlemanly tone that hid its barely contained malice as it began to act. The voice was showing just how powerful it truly was as it manipulated those it needed to see its will done. So that Gisben was unharmed.
What does the voice do?
The anti god emperor warhammer 40k
And you thought the humans had it rough before
