Chapter 8

What does Gisben wake to?
To the splendor of his creation
Gisben came to a moment, slowly feeling the aching of his unhealthy hunchback body, and Gisben figured his ritual had failed and sent him flying and laying **** on the floor. He was just about to sigh when he noticed a feeling besides the aching of his body. He felt a pair of legs propping his head up and a delicate hand waving through his hair.
Suddenly very concerned that an intruder has somehow worked their way into his home, hidden in the depths of a maze of vents. Though considering what he was doing that had knocked him out. He wouldn't put it past a zealot to find someway to find out what he'd done and track him through the maze. He had never seen a more insane and relentless kind of person than the zealots of the emperor.
So he slowly, as to not give away he was awake, slowly opened his eyes slightly just to make out who was above him so he could go from there with whatever he would need to plan to do next. Though he immediately failed at that as the small glimpse he caught caused his eyes to shoot open and a gasp to leave his lips as he took in fully the lap, his head way laying on.
His beautiful creation, the one he thought he had failed somehow to create when he first woke up, had actually succeeded, as she was the one gently cradling his head in her lap. She was beautiful, the purple of his steel having spread, giving her purple eyes with her pale skin, and to add to her magnificence, the rags he had left on from the body parts, as he had no actually beautiful dress to give her, had stretched and combined, giving her a beautiful purple ballerina tutu.
" Yes!" Gisben screamed as he shot up, then stumbled a bit as he had gotten up too fast, his creation helping to study him. He gazed at his ballerina, taking in every inch of her beauty. Feeling a sort of aura of elegance, she seemed to exude just by existing. "Truly, you are greater than I ever dared to dream." Gisben mumbled out as he continued to stare at his creation.
"Yes, master, I am grace and elegance personified just as you envisioned." The ballerina said to him in a beautiful voice that seemed to echo and taint the senses when heard. She helped over to one of his chairs made out of salvage that had been knocked over by her birth, quickly picking up the chair and putting Gisben in it. All in one movement, as if it were part of a dance.
The thought of a dance caused Gisben to ask his creation a rather important question. "My, I see you perform?" Gisben asked his desperation and hope for the brilliance of the ballerina,a performance clear in his voice. She shook her head, filling Gisben with disappointment and making him wonder what he would most do to see such a performance.
"I'm sorry, master, this room is not big enough for a true performance. We must go somewhere else if I am to perform to your liking." The ballerina said in a sad tone, hoping to appease her master with this explanation as to why she couldn't perform. Gisben looked around his room and agreed with her point that his hideout was not big enough for a ballerina's performance where they leaped and spun across a stage.
"Come with me; I shall take you to place; well, you have the room to perform. If that is okay with you?" Gisben asked, filled with hope that he would see his creation perform once he brought her to a big enough stage that she could perform on. His creation bowed to him elegantly.
"Of course, master, I'm always willing to perform for you." The ballerina said with a jovial tone, causing Gisben to flap excitedly as he led her into the maze of vents, apologizing about her having to duck her head as she went in. As they both made their way towards the stage and the first grand performance.
Meanwhile, the voice inside of Gisben spoke to itself. "Good very good, Gisben. You've done very well with your creation, and I believe this performance will turn out to be far more dramatic than it is elegant. But anyway, I'm glad it worked out for you, my dear Gisben. Very glad. It isn't easy to make daemon engines, but you made one on your very first try." The voice said happiness, coming out of its tone on an almost unnatural level as it spoke about what Gisben had done and what his creation was yet to do.
Where are they heading?
