To the bakery.

You take the apartment keys and head out. You feel like the first place you should head to is the bakery you saw yesterday. You leave the apartment and head down the street. As you walk, you notice that the population of this town is quite varied. Humans and Monsters of all kinds walk up and down the street. After taking some time to people-watch, you arrive at the bakery. This place seems to be quite popular, with people constantly moving in and out of the building. After managing to press your way inside, you see that the decorations you noticed yesterday extend to the inside as well. All manner of spiders are found along the walls and ceiling of this bakery, as well as a bunch of cobwebs. The spider decorations seem very realistic. So realistic, in fact, that they are actively moving along the walls. Surprisingly, no one else seems disturbed by the amount of spiders in this place. As you spin around to take in all the spiders, you hear a light voice behind you start to giggle. "Ahuhu... Well now, who is this cutie?" The voice says, flirtatiously. You turn to look at the owner of the voice, and find five eyes staring back at you.

The owner of the voice was a short lady with five eyes, who is sitting behind a display case filled with baked goods. The lady seems to be a spider Monster, if the five eyes and six arms were any indication. She has her black hair tied up in twin pigtails, held in place with red ribbons. She is wearing a red romper with a bow on the front of it. You can see through the display case that her pants puff out at her thighs, giving her a cutesy look. You also see her smooth legs, covered by a pair of pantyhose. Her feet are covered up by a pair of laced up shoes. When you look back at her face, she is covering her mouth with one of her many hands and chuckling. "Ahuhu... At least buy one of my delicious pastries before you check me out." She says in mock annoyance. Before you can reply, you hear a familiar gruff voice shout from somewhere deeper in the bakery. "HEY, BOSS, I'M ALL DONE UNLOADING THOSE BAGS OF FLOUR! WHAT'S NEXT?" Not long after, Susie confirms your suspicions by stepping out a door leading to the back of the store.

Susie is now wearing a plain white T-shirt and a different pair of tattered jeans. Her muscles are on full display, with a thin layer of perspiration visible. She has her hair up in a pony tail, using some kind of cloth to keep it tied up. When Susie sees you standing in front of the spider lady, she seems quite surprised. "What the- What are you doing here?" Susie asks. The spider lady turns towards Susie with a sly smile on her face, before saying, "Susie, is this your friend? You've never mentioned them before. What have I told you about withholding cuties from me? I'm afraid I'm going to have to dock your pay for this." Susie looks shocked and flustered at the spider lady's words. "W-what?! C'mon, boss, I've been working my ass off all morning!" The spider woman just chuckles sinisterly, a sound that makes your skin crawl as if there a bunch of spiders climbing up you, which is entirely possible given where you are. "Sorry, dearie, I couldn't help myself. Of course I won't be docking your pay, you've more than earned it with all the work you do around here. But I do expect you to introduce me to your cute friend at some point." Susie blushes a bit at the spider lady calling you cute. "Alright, fine. Vessel, Muffet. Muffet, Vessel." Susie says, quickly gesturing between the two of you. Susie then heads back to where she came from, leaving you with Muffet.

Muffet just waves at Susie's back, before turning to you again. Surprisingly, none of the other customers seemed bothered by that little scene. It looks like some of the spiders were able to handle the checkout while Muffet and Susie were talking. Muffet fixes her beady eyes on you, smiling ever so slyly. "Well, now that that's over, tell me something, cutie. Why have you come to my fine establishment?"
