Chapter 9
by Daddy-yoda
Where do they take you?
To Their Base Camp
Your captors moved through the woods with grace, gliding over roots and slipping under branches like the wind, not even your extra weight could slow them down.
It was an elven trait, to move completely unhindered by forestry. It was very useful to their isolationist and nomadic life and part of the reason most human settlements and elven tribes don’t interact much. Though these three were dark elves, a much more rare and much more nefarious variety of elf, it was obvious they too had that set of skills.
You’d never seen a dark elf before, the only knowledge you had about them came from rumors and stories told by drunk adventurers. How they worshiped a god of **** and practiced dark magic. You’ve heard that they’re quite fearsome in battle, using mixtures of poisons to incapacitate their enemies, and how they were almost naturally adept in magic. Not to mention, how these two woman carried you over their shoulders, their slender and curvy builds only hid how strong they really were.
Soon, your journey was over, and you could hear voices again, though it was still in that language you couldn’t understand. You recognized the first woman’s voice, the one with the scimitars, as she joyfully spoke to another woman, one that you haven't heard before.
After only a small conversation, you were carried deeper in. You could tell, judging by the more voices you kept hearing, that you were being brought into some sort of village. A village that seemed indifferent to the bound and carried woman that was now being paraded through town.
After entering some sort of building, you were placed in some sort of chair, your binds also being tied to it.
After a short period of footsteps and silence, the blindfold and gag were taken off, revealing your location.
It was a beautiful hut, gorgeous pieces of art covered the walls, and small precious statues and artifacts were on display all over.
To your sides stood two female guards, different from the ones that captured you. These two wore metal chest plates, and wielded massive glaives. They stared ahead and at the ready with powerful discipline.
To your front, you saw the beautiful woman from before. She leaned against a paper filled desk, staring at you with a wicked smile. Her scimitars no longer worn on her person, as they sat rested on the table, instead she wore a small dagger.
“Welcome to my humble abode, you may call me Sylvia. I’m going to ask you some questions, is that fine with you?”
She spoke softly, like she was addressing a friend.
Slowly, you nodded you head.
“Excellent! Now, first off, since we’ll be getting to know each other, I need to know what to call you. What’s your name?”
The way she spoke was friendly, but as you looked into those eyes, you knew your couldn’t let your guard down.
worriedly, you told her.
“A-Alexis.”
“Such a lovely name. Your parents must be proud of that name. Tell me, do you live in that human settlement? The one with those great big walls?”
You nodded your head, worried about what she could want.
“Oh, that’s just wonderful! I’ve always admired that quant little town, it’s always been so safe, so sturdy, so... humany. Now, I’ve just got a small little question. What would it take for me to convince you to, oh I don’t know, open the gates for us and let us slaughter your whole stupid little town?”
You felt like you didn’t even hear her properly, her face still giving you a sweet little smile.
Out of pure confusion from how this interrogation went about, you failed to respond in time.
For which Sylvia, in one swift motion, unsheathed her dagger, lunged forward from her desk, and sliced a deep cut into your cheek, causing blood to immediately pour from the wound.
Out of surprise and pain, you screamed out, which seemed to only cause Sylvia to smile.
“Alexis…tsk tsk tsk. You said that you would answer my questions, and because you didn’t keep your word, look what you made me do. See, a persons word is their bond, and if you break that, what even is there anymore?”
She got down to your level, and reached her knife out to your face, collecting some of the blood that still poured from your cheek.
“Just a lying brain, some muscle, and blood.”
In horror, you watched as she brought the knife up to her mouth, and licked your blood from it.
“Fortunately, that was all I needed from you for now. But until next time, ta ta.”
With a wave of her hand, her guards re blindfolded you before carrying you from the tent.
Still recoiling from the events that just passed, you were carried back through the crowds of people, before you were dropped onto the rough dirt.
After your blindfold was taken off, you realized where you were. A small cage among a row of empty cages. They all were the same size, enough for a person to fit in, but thankfully they were all empty.
As the rest of your binds are removed, the door is locked, and while one of the guards stays, the other leaves, not a word spoken between them.
Finally free to move, you felt your wound, it was pretty deep and still bleeding. While you probably weren’t going to die from it, the wound would definitely leave a scar, and the pain was enough to leave you gritting your teeth.
A pained scowl across your face, you looked around. Other than the guard, you were the only person here. You could hear voices in the distance, presumably the people you passed on the way to the cage.
Alone.
You realized that nobody knew where you were.
For all your parents knew, you were still training with that wolf. You wondered how long it would take for your father to worry and check on your usual spot. If your bows still broken there, he might be able to piece it together, realize you were attacked, get help from some adventurers and track you here.
Or…
He could not…
You fell onto your back, your mind racing for ways to get out of this.
Blue?
You could try and get a link with it, but with how far you are, you have no faith that you could make a connection.
You could always try and escape by yourself?
You weren’t exactly the strongest class or adventurer, but people have succeeded with even worse odds.
Looking over at the guard, she stood a few feet from your cage, sometimes she leaned against on of the empty cages looking away from you, and sometimes she leaned looking right at you. Difficult, but not impossible to work around,
