To Team Rocket HQ

An hour has passed since you got back into the hot air balloon, but eons have passed inside the ball, as Sabrina is edged but never allowed to release. She is remolded to inflict pain on herself and others: to make them this same wonderfully hellish frustration she is experiencing now. All of what she once was has been paved over. You look down at the backpack. It has trace amounts of your sweat pooled at the bottom. When you finished having sex with Delia and James, you had James use the water bottle to collect as much of your sweat as he could. If it worked on Sabrina, then it could work on anyone. The balloon starts to descend, but you hand the water bottle off to Jessie. Thankfully it’s small, so it slides into her pants pocket with ease. She will enact the important step of your plan…

The endless green fields of the countryside you were once in give way to grey and black concrete, towered over by highrises. You arrive at Team Rocket's Headquarters,. The building is tall, much taller than the buildings in this entire city. A few grunts look at James and Jessie. They seem unimpressed, but notice you - a nobody - standing alongside them. The confusion on their faces is evident. As you walk into the building, more and more puzzled Grunts glare at you. Jessie and James lead you to the elevator, heading all the way to the top floor. On the ride up, James tells you how it will be yours one day, after you’ve enslaved Giovanni.

“Master, Giovanni has the entire floor to himself. Every single room on this floor is his to use. Entire bathrooms the size of gymnasiums, bedrooms the size of dining halls... Once Team Rocket falls under your spell, you’ll have all of this as your own.”

The excitement in his voice tells you that James cannot wait to betray his teammates and leader, if it means helping you. The elevator dings, having arrived at the top floor. A long, regally decorated corridor lined with doors on either side stands before you. At the very end of the hallway is the door to Giovanni’s office. The walk takes about a minute, but Jessie and James step in front of you, and you stop in place, allowing them. They knock on the door, and you hear a stern voice say, “Enter.”

Jessie goes in first, and James second. They stand side by side, deliberately hiding you behind their backs.

“You two have long had a history of disappointing me,” Giovanni says, “but I find myself in urgent need of good news. So, please, tell me you have found something of interest to me.”

“Not some thing, boss…” James starts, Jessie continuing his sentence.

“...Rather, someone. Or should I say multiple someone’s?” They each move aside, allowing you to enter. Giovanni looks unamazed at your presence, but that’s where you amaze him. Without saying a word, you produce the corrupted ball from your pocket, and hit the button. Sabrina is released from the ball, clad in a Team Rocket uniform, just like the one she used to have. Similar to Jessie and James, she wears the red R on a white jacket with black trousers.

She bows before Giovanni as she speaks.

“Sir, please excuse my desertion. y/n showed me the error of my ways.”

“Sabrina?” Giovanni is shocked, as is evident from his tone of voice. “This is quite the unexpected turn of events! We all thought you had died while in the field.” Sabrina rises from her bow, standing upright once again.

“On the contrary, I had feelings of guilt that had consumed me for taking part in Team Rocket’s clandestine criminal activity. Luckily, y/n here happens to be gifted with telepathic abilities not unlike my own. In fact, I think he might be a better psychic than I am, as he managed to enslave me and permanently rewrite core parts of my personality.”

Now you have Giovanni’s attention. He is looking for one more reason to recruit you there on the spot. Not only did you return to him a former high-value member that ditched her post, but you brainwashed her into the perfect Team Rocket member: always loyal, never questioning orders, and always obedient. You can see in his eyes, though, that Giovanni just needs that little push over the edge before he hires you. He turns his attention to Jessie, none the wiser to the fact that she and the other two had become your devoted thralls.

“Jessie, how did you and James come to meet y/n? How did he hypnotize Sabrina to come back?”

Right on cue, Jessie feeds him the made-up story you’d concocted.

“Well, he approached us as we were at this diner in the Kalos Region when he walked up to us. He seemed a little nervous at first, but he asked if he could join us. James and I, at first, laughed him off, sending him on his way. We ran into him again as we were smuggling Shiny Pokemon from a local pokemon center. We were in the backroom where they keep the pokemon that are still in their care, and it was 3 AM. He simply walked into the room and told us that we were making too much noise. We got startled and were ready to pull a weapon on him, but he quietly shut the door and put his hands up, like how suspects are told to by armed policemen. He said that everything we’d done during the heist was right, and how no one would’ve noticed us… except for the fact that we weren’t being quiet enough. The security guard was just down the hall from the storage room, but he was asleep. If it weren’t for y/n, we’d have woken up that guard and gotten caught red-handed! We weren’t even wearing our uniforms during this. We wore ski masks and black clothing. We did everything to hide our identity, and somehow he knew it was us! He’s been following us that entire time! He told us that he disabled the security cameras before we even arrived. So, in that moment, I started to think of how he may benefit the team, but I was more focused on him being a potential witness. So, when he once again asked to be a part of Team Rocket, I reluctantly told him to follow me and James. We got back to our temporary hideout -it was a basement in an abandoned building we’d found, far away from the Pokemon center. We laid low for about a month, and then ditched town once the attention from the media had died down. We weren’t really sure what to do with him as we left, but as we were flying back here, he says he’s having a psychic vision. Tells us to land. He says to stay by the balloon, and not leave until he comes back. We asked him why, but y/n just said, ‘You’ll see.’”

We waited there for about ten minutes until he comes back with Sabrina in tow. She was hopelessly enslaved, and y/n had the proudest look on his face for presenting her to us. After we stood there for a moment, y/n simply said, ‘Now do you believe that I’m joining the winning team?’ So, when he captured Sabrina, we knew you had to meet him.”

It’s working. Your body odor is having the same mind-altering effects on Giovanni that they had on Sabrina. Giovanni just didn’t realize it. You tell Giovanni that you would be honored if we would make you a member of Team Rocket. It’s decided. You’re recruited right there on the spot. You change into a uniform, and are given your first assignment.
