Chapter 36

What next?
Time to buy those characters
Elm found that with his train of thought he came back to needing to get some more help for Zelda at least. The house was way too big for her by herself. So he decided to take a good look around the RealDreams app.
The first thing he saw was a pop-up that said something about a new product line. They called it the Mod and Aug Shop section. Inside were all kinds of augmentations and modifications that he could apply to himself. It wasn't just changing appearance either, some of them allowed superpowers and whatnot. Of course, they were limited for very obvious reasons but still, this was pretty cool. He decided to start off small with an increase in stamina, strength, and dexterity just to see if that would work. Not that he doubted it with all the other things he has seen from them. Apparently, it would apply over the next eight or so hour duration of sleep he took once he bought it.
Going back to the original purpose of this shopping spree, he looked around scrounging the deep recesses of his mind for characters that would be good. While searching around he also remembered the weird glitch-out ones that he apparently has. Elm figured they must be around the house like GLaDOS was. He should probably look for them, they might be starving or very lost. Anyways, back to the ones he was buying he came up with four that should be good for now at least.
There was:
- Alex from Minecraft. That one might sound a little weird, especially seeing as she is just a bunch of geometric cubes. But first of all, from what Elm knows she can pretty much craft and build anything, has about the strength of a god, and apparently, there is an option for a less blocky and more rounder appearance of her which he went for. He also sprang for the maid supplement training they offer.
- Dusa from Hades. Particularly chosen for her already being a maid, so there won't be any troubles there, and also because he really liked her character during the game. Really that simple.
- Frankie Foster from Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. She would know pretty much everything there was needed to know to about keeping the house/manor upright. Mabey even more than what training they gave Zelda. She could also practically take care of everything herself though that wasn't going to happen of course.
- Muffet from Undertale. He chose her with the idea of her being like the head chef or something. Sure she mainly makes baked goods but cooking is cooking more or less. Plus it would really be her only job so she'll get to learn.
Clicking on the checkout page a pop-up came onto his screen. It told him that because he had bought so many characters in a short period of time he was getting a special promotion. That of getting him a random free Pokémon. Now Elm wasn't exactly that knowledgeable about Pokémon nor into it, but he did know there were some cute little creatures. He hoped it was something akin to a dog or cat or something furry and cute. Just a nice little pet. He was somehow blissfully unaware of the other things people might want to do with them. Yet still a man of the internet.
Proceeding with the order Elm confirmed it. He decided that he could probably have them come in pairs of two a day starting two days from now. Nice, I have four more coming now Elm thought to himself. Hopefully, they are much more accepting of their situation than Hinata. Not that he blamed her. Taking in a deep breath he decided to spend the rest of the day playing some games.
So what does tomorrow bring?
