This isn't that hard...

She picked it up again. Surprisingly, despite her having found it heavy only seconds before, it was significantly easier to lift. In fact, as she lifted it more and more, she found the weight growing lighter and lighter until she could lift it easily with one hand.

Yang walked over to her, impressed. "Wow, Snow Queen, I didn't know you had it in you!"

Weiss gave her a withering look. "Incredible. Once more, your small mind can't handle anything outside the realm of your reality."

"Ouch, Weiss," Yang muttered, stung by her words. She knew she wasn't the best student, but having someone say it so outright was just hurtful. Weiss seemed to realise her mistake, but instead of backtracking, she decided it was too late to apologise and simply walked away with her nose in the air.

She couldn't bear to think about her cutting comment, so distracted herself by moving onto another exercise, some crunches to work out her core muscles. It was almost impossible at first, but, just like the weights, they seemed to get easier and easier as she did more and more. Soon, she had flown through one hundred with no trouble at all.

She moved on to the deadlifting, picking out something she gauged was around her range, about 40 kg. To her surprise, she could lift it easily. There was a little burn in her arms and legs, but nothing much. She supposed this was her Huntress training paying off, finally. She moved onto some harder weights. Soon, Weiss had attracted the stares of the entire gym (which Yang was not a part of, she duly noted) as she lifted a much heavier weight than the ones she'd previously lifted. She snapped at her admirers. "What, never seen a girl lift before?"

"Never that much," replied one of the men, pointing at the weight she was effortlessly keeping aloft. "I've never done it, that's for sure."

It dropped to the ground. Weiss read out the weight with wide eyes. "Two hundred and fifty kilos," she breathed. "That's, like, five times my weight."

Realisation staring to dawn on her, she rushed past the crowds and locked herself in a cubicle in the changing rooms. Was the workout really working so quickly?

She checked herself out in the mirror.
