The robot and the shy one
Hinata had finally worked enough of her nerves down from the embarrassing meltdown she had. Strangely enough though, it had helped her come to terms with her new life. If this was going to be her life of living in a harem, well then that was going to be that. Not that her body minded that much, still she could have conducted herself better. She sighed deeply to herself crossing her arms. She at least had to apologize about it. She already did to Zelda though the emotions from the outburst were still raw and Hinata wanted to give another one at least.
However, that was easier said than done in this place, as she walked down the maze-like corridors. She never really gave much thought to the other rooms and places of the house, but it made rather no sense to her. It seemed to stretch on into infinity. What was not helping was the placid decoration that accompanied the halls that left it all kind of unnerving and very much disorienting. Like it was all right in terms of being some place, maybe a hotel, you would find yourself in. But, everything was too quite, to still, to empty at the same time. Almost like an alien **** had tried to recreate something made by humans but didn’t quite understand what made it so. It was so unnerving at multiple intervals Hinata tried to release herself as if she was inside of a genjutsu. Yet, nothing changed.
Stealing herself a look around the place she found the first out of place thing she could have. A sign that told her that this room was GLaDOS's. Who's GLaDOS she thought to herself. Well at least maybe they would have directions around this place. She creaked open the door into the room and was met with a strange woman seemingly wearing this strange white plastic like armor. There were wires hooked up into some of her joints and a lot into the arc of her back. She was working on both a computer and a phone intently. In the back of Hinata's mind she vaguely remembered this was someone she had met a few days ago briefly.
Her eyes glowed a bright yellow as she looked over to Hinata, not all to please to have someone barge in. There was something in that cold stare that this strange woman gave Hinata that made her hesitate for a second, maybe even walk off without help. But she held firm and took that second to take note of the rest of the room, full of bits and bobs with some vaguely humanoid shapes made from what looked like scrap.
"Hi-" Hinata squeaked out to who she assumed was GLaDOS. "Umm do you know the way to the main area?"
GlaDOS began eyeing up and down Hinata without prompt. Scrutinize her every feature with much intent but a blank face that could have been construed as one of contempt. Hinata shifted her weight from the attention and looked around quickly. GLaDOS didn't relent on her **** of the eye and Hinata crossed her arms irritably. What was she staring at for so long anyway? Could she just have told her where to go? Why does it have to be this?
"Follow the companion," GLaDOS stated out of nowhere flicking something on out of Hinata's view. Before Hinata could say anything, well that would have been if she wanted to say anything, a box with a heart on all sides started to buzz by her.
"Thanks," Hinata asked more than said following the little robot, leaving this GLaDOS person alone again.
Watching the meek little woman who was named Hinata walk out, GLaDOS refocused herself back at what was important. These little devices she got from her arrangement with Vanny. In specificity the devices had all the information that GLaDOS needed to get a better grasp on the situation she found herself in. It bothered her to no end to not knowing all the variables that were present in this place. Not to mention the ratio of unknown variables to known. She needed to learn as much as she could.
Right now, she was in the middle of figuring out what had happened to her own self. The only place she could figure to look was what was telling her that she was bound to listen mostly to Elm, which apparently came from this company called RealDreams. One that has no discernable start up records, where it came from, who created it, or even who is heading the helm. Not even balance sheets or quarterly reports are open to most people. Still, in this account of Elm's she has been able to figure out enough as it is.
This company probably reprogrammed her when she was switched to this reality, enough so that GLaDOS couldn't rewrite her code in new specific areas. There was also the fact she was not in the make and model she remembered back in Aperture Labs. Going through the files and encrypted walls that a toddler could have broken into, she found everything pertaining to herself.
Opening the files, she found that she had been bought five years ago not by Elm but by an unknown woman. Specifically in this order the woman added all sorts of modification including her being obedient completely to commands from her master, granting an artificial libido (though that seemed to be turned off), and the body mods.
GLaDOS started taking notes of this on a piece of paper, something she knew she could keep safe from prying eyes. Alright, so she was bought by someone else, that makes sense considering she did have memories of being in that room for a while. But what happened to this woman for her to just up and drop GLaDOS and what were these strange creatures lurking through the walls. Something wasn't adding up but GLaDOS was still determined to figure this all out.
There was one more thing she could easily look into though, those strange glitched out profiles she spotted. Maybe she could get some more information if she could she a consistent through line between these chosen characters including herself. That or gain someone who would be willing to listen to her, after all she could be the one to save them. Perhaps. . .
