Inside the base
The reunion
As you make your way deeper into the base, you pass by several rebels and personnel going about their tasks. Some of them eye you curiously, no doubt noticing your Jedi attire. The base is full of life and people –all of them Rebels, obviously– everyone at their post.
Ahsoka's presence is becoming stronger, and you can almost feel her nearby. You must be getting close until...
You round a corner and suddenly... You see her. Ahsoka Tano, standing with her back to you, deep in conversation with a Twi'lek Rebel. Her montrals and lekku have grown taller and longer since you last saw her and the white markings on her lekku are slightly different –but her presence in the **** is unmistakable– It is her.
Your breath catches for a moment. What do you do, what do you say? It's been so long... "Will she even rememb---"
Your thoughts are cut short, when the (not sure about color yet, write down suggestions and if you want a possible trio with her later down the road.) Twi'lek notices you first, her eyes widening slightly.
Twi'lek: "Uh... Fulcrum? You've got... company?"
Ahsoka turns and freezes.
You try to talk but nothing comes out. The shock is just too much for both of you.
Ahsoka stares at you, her mouth slightly agape, her under other circumstances composed expression showing great disbelief. She's clearly stunned to see you, completely caught off guard. There's a mix of emotions on her face varieting from surprise and joy to relief, doubt and something else you can't quite place. She looks older and more weary—the years since Order 66 have taken their toll on her. But the fire in her eyes burns just as fiercely.
Ahsoka (in disbelief): " Y/n ... is it really you?"
Y/n: "Hey 'Soka."
The Twi'lek, sensing the importance of this moment, decides to do the sensible thing here and leave the two of you alone, although, rightfully so, curious.
Ahsoka takes a hesitant step towards you, her eyes scanning you from head to toe as if she's making sure you're not some hologram or illusion.
Ahsoka (voice wavering slightly): "I thought you were... I mean, I always hoped you might be alive, but... to see you here..."
She's still in shock, clearly struggling to process the fact that you're really standing in front of her after all these years. She reaches out a trembling hand towards you, as if to touch you and confirm you're real.
You take her trembling hand into yours and hug her.
Y/n: "Missed you, too."
Ahsoka's breath intensifies as you take her hand and pull her into an embrace. Her body relaxes immediately, as though all the tension and stress she's been carrying just melts away. She returns the hug fiercely, burying her head in your chest, her fingers gripping on your shoulder.
Ahsoka (voice trembling with emotion): "Oh, ****, I missed you... I missed you so much, Y/n!"
Y/n: "I'm here now and I'm not leaving you ever again. I promise."
Ahsoka pulls back just enough to look up at you, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. Her voice is hoarse, filled with something that speaks to the years of separation and longing.
Ahsoka (softly and gently): "You better not. I don't think I could handle losing you again, Y/n. Not after..."
She stops, the pain of Order 66 and everything that followed still hunting her.
Y/n: "Hey, I'm here now. But I have to ask... It's been so long, has anything... you know, changed about your feelings regarding US?"
Ahsoka's expression becomes softer at your question, a bittersweet smile tugging at the corners of her lips. There's a hint of resignation in her eyes, as though it has been bothering her for a long time.
Ahsoka: "My feelings... They haven't changed, Y/n. Not really. I still... I still care for you deeply. I always have."
She takes a deep breath, as though gathering courage for whatever your reaction or answer may be.
Y/n: "Good... I feel the same way as well."
Ahsoka looks visibly relieved by your words. A great weight of uncertainty and doubt seems to have been lifted from her face.
Ahsoka: "I'm glad to hear that... After everything that happened, a part of me feared you might have moved on, found someone else..."
Y/n: "You're the woman of my life, Ahsoka. Besides, the same could be said about you."
Ahsoka shakes her head, a slight chuckle escaping her lips. The thought of being in love with someone else clearly seems ridiculous to her.
Ahsoka: "Oh, please. As if I'd have time for a relationship in the middle of a rebellion. Not to mention, I've only ever had eyes for one stubborn, reckless Jedi."
Y/n (laughing): "I can relate to that."
Ahsoka lets out a full laugh at that as well, making you feel warm in the inside and achingly nostalgic. She shakes her head, her lekku swaying slightly with the movement.
Ahsoka: "Well, looks like we're both idiots, then. Only took us a galaxy-wide genocide and years apart to finally admit it."
She leans in closer, her expression softening again.
Y/n: "Psssshhh... I always knew it. Now, that the order is dead, we can be in a fucking proper relationship, like adults, right?"
Ahsoka rolls her eyes but can't help but smile at your words. She takes a step closer, the space between them suddenly much smaller.
Ahsoka: "Oh, so now you want to be a proper adult, hm? Where was all that maturity when you used to drive me insane on missions with your reckless plans and endless jokes?"
Y/n: "We were teens... Besides, says who? May I need to remind you how we used to hide and jerk off each other's dicks." You whisper the last part back to her.
Ahsoka's cheeks flush slightly at the reminder, her eyes widening momentarily. She glances around furtively, ensuring no one else heard your comment. Then she smacks you lightly on the arm.
Ahsoka (whispers): "Shh! Not here, you nerfherder. People could hear you. Besides..."
She leans in again, a sly smirk on her face.
Ahsoka (teasingly whispers): "We're a bit old for hiding in closets now, don't you think?"
Y/n: "Right... We're gonna do everything we didn't... In bed... Like the adults we now are."
Ahsoka gives you a mock-stern look, but her eyes sparkle with amusement and something warm, intimate. She keeps her voice really low, leaning in close enough that you can feel her breath on your skin.
Ahsoka (smirks): "Promises, promises. Though I do recall you being awfully good at... improvisation."
She pulls back just enough to raise an eyebrow, her smirk deepening.
Y/n: "Improvisation? Is that how we call it, now?"
Ahsoka doesn't answer to that. Instead...
Ahsoka (still whispers): "But maybe we should start with... catching up properly first."
Y/n: "Of course. Ask me anything you want."
Ahsoka leads you to a secluded corner, away from any potential eavesdroppers. She takes your hand in hers and gestures for you both to sit on a small bench. There's a thoughtful, almost contemplative look on her face as she watches you, taking in the changes in your appearance and demeanor.
Ahsoka: "I have so many questions. Where have you been all this time? What happened after...after Order 66? I've been wondering if you were even alive for all these years."
Y/n: "I had been searching for you. It was really hard finding you, especially with the whole "Fulcrum" identity."
Ahsoka's grip on your hand tightens slightly at your words, her expression softening with a mix of relief and lingering sorrow.
Ahsoka: "I went underground. Kept a low profile and all."
She exhales, her voice growing softer. "But in all those years... I never stopped hoping that somewhere out there, you were still alive."
She then hesitantly adds
Ahsoka: "But I'm glad it's you who found me and not the Empire."
Y/n: "That makes two of us. Oh, how much have I missed you, Ahsoka!"
Ahsoka's eyes soften at your words, her fingers intertwining some more with yours. She leans her forehead against yours briefly, taking a slow breath—as if savoring this moment after so many years apart.
Ahsoka : "I missed you too. More than I ever let myself admit."
She pulls back just enough to look at you, her smirk always there.
Ahsoka: "But if you're done being all sentimental... I did promise we'd catch up properly."
Her gaze flickers toward a nearby door, her quarters maybe?
"Unless you'd rather keep talking in the middle of the base?"
Y/n: "Lead the way."
Inside Ahsoka's quarters
