Chapter 17 by triangletoast triangletoast

Where does Olivia hide?

The next cubicle over

There wasn't much time and even less places for Olivia to go. Mister Saito wasn't they type of guy who liked employees taking phone calls from their wives. So I couldn't imagine how he would react coming to seeing me with Olivia half naked at my desk.

Left was the printer, which besides being in the open would right by his path to my desk. Getting her out of the room wasn't an option, she had to stick close to the cubicle walls or he'd see her run off and expect the worst.

That left the cubicle to my right, occupied by a guy I knew I could trust to keep quiet. With a hushed shush, I pointed at Olivia then gestured over towards Anderson's desk area.

She looked confused for a second, then intrigued. Making a weird hand gesture where she made an open fist and raised her hand up and down. Then she opened her mouth up in an O shape and pointed towards it, looking at me like I had to decide something.

I was never good at charades and I didn't have the time to try and decipher her meaning. I didn't even know what the hand movement meant, but maybe the mouth thing was her asking if she should be silent? Or if she should ask Anderson to be quiet about her hiding there?

I didn't matter, she needed to get out now. I just shook my head and waved her over, rushing her towards the secluded cubicle next to mine.

I could hear Anderson's confusion as she made her way over to him. Then a little shush from Olivia, with their soft whispers fading into the background noise of the office.

I could just make out some of the words. Yours. Available. Open. With giggling interspaced between. Maybe she was asking if his area was open and available for hiding out? I didn't get the chance to figure that out before Mister Saito, crept over to my desk. Standing ramrod straight like the stick up his ass had a stick up its ass.

"Mister Snell." He said. Words as dry as his wrinkly old skin.

"Mister Saito." I said back. Louder and more cheerful than I normally was.

The noises from the two next door had died down. A quiet calm taking over as I stared down my boss. I'd never once seen a smile on his face, but today he seemed grumpier than even.

"I do not like you mister Snell."

"Oh." A silence lingered in the air between us. It was like he was waiting for a response, but what the hell was I supposed to say? Was he expecting me to apologise for him not liking me?

"You are unambitious. Unmotivated and undisciplined." His expression remained unreadable. Was I just being chewed out here, or was he building up to firing me.

"I'm sorry you feel that way sir." I said. Mostly just to fill the awkward silence.

I was feeling strangely unconcerned about all of this. Saito made it clear when he didn't like somebody but had never outright said anything before, so this must be something big. And yet, words that would have sent me into a panic days ago were just sliding right off me.

It wasn't like I wanted to lose my job, despite some of the monotony it was a pretty relaxed and easy gig. But after the hazing and games Olivia's team had put me through, this just didn't seem as significant.

"If it were up to me, I would have replaced you years ago. With someone who knew appreciation and respect."

"Where is this going? Sir." My voice was strong, confident. Clearly not the response Saito had expected or wanted.

He furrowed his brows. Taking off his glasses to clean them while letting out a long, deep sigh.

"It would seem that management upstairs has noticed you." Each word seemed to pain him to say more than the last. "You have received a promotion."

"Wait. Really?!" I'd given up hope of climbing the corporate ladder years ago. Focusing instead on supporting and being there for Olivia. Why was this suddenly happening now? Nothing had changed with my work.... except…

If Olivia had the sway to get me moved up like this she would have done it already. No, she was too new and too much of a fast riser to have that kind of political sway. So then, one of the guys on her team? All of them as a collective whole? Most of them had been around for a while, and they brought in the company big money. This had to have been them.

"Effective Monday you will be beginning your assignment." He turned away and began shuffling back towards his office. "Congratulations."

"T-thank you. Umm. What, what is this assignment?"

He stopped in his tracks, not turning to look at me but looking wistfully up at the ceiling instead.

"Take the frog from the well, bring him to the ocean and watch as he inevitably drowns from the rage of the seas."

"That doesn't...." My voice trailed off. Saito had walked off and clearly east going to give me more of an explanation.

Whatever, I wasn't going to let him get me down. I would probably be sent more information, or I could ask the guys about it. This was something good! Something to be celebrated!

"Did you hear that guys?" I asked softly to the cubical wall. Saito would still be walking back over, so I didn't want to draw attention by walking over there or talking too loud.

Putting my ear close to the wall I could make out some faint sounds. A soft gurgling or maybe swallowing sound, with some hushed heavy breathing.

"Gluahh ahhhh. I know babe! I'm so excited for you!" Olivia said, hushed but energetic.

"Y-eah man... Con-Mhhm-grats." Anderson chimed in. His voice nervous and cracking.

I could imagine him in there, cooped up with Olivia, trying his best not to stare but sneaking glances. She'd be teasing him, daring him to stare, but he wouldn't I bet. The guy was a hunk but seemed like the type to be ignorant to stuff like that. Poor guy probably felt bad for looking as little as he did, if only he knew better.

"You knew about this didn't you." I whispered at the wall.

"Mmfhhmmm Mhay-bee." She gave a muffled giggle, her mouth full with something.

I guess Anderson was sharing his lunch with her. This was her break after all, and she was spending it coming down here to see me.

Well, maybe starting next week she wouldn't have to come all the way down here. Maybe. I'd have to figure out just what I was actually going to be doing from now. Monday was only a few business hours away, so somebody would have to give me a new contract to sign soon.

"Hahaha well sorry Anderson but it looks like I'll be leaving you behind in the trenches."

"UghhHh, fuuck." Anderson groaned with a surprising amount of ****. I didn't think we were that close, but it was nice to see he would miss me.

"Well hey. It's Friday! We should all go out and celebrate!"

"I think.... I think I'm 'partied' out." His voice sounded tense, breaths heavy. Was he staving off tears? I knew he was a sensitive guy, but that seemed a little much. I wasn't even leaving the company, just getting a promotion.

Before I could comfort the guy Olivia snuck around the corner. Hand over her mouth she swallowed the last bit of her meal, wiping away the mess before diving onto me for a kiss.

I don't know what Anderson brought for lunch but it had the strangest bitter taste. And for such a healthy looking guy it was oddly salty.

"Mmwwaa! We're gonna have so much fun!" She straddle me on my chair. Glowing expression in her eyes and just a little bit of Mayo from her meal on the corner of her mouth.

I scooped it off her with my finger and before I could pull away she pounced on it. Taking my finger into her mouth and sucking it up with a seductive look in her eyes.

"I can think of a little fun we could have right now..."

"Mmhmmm, you know I'd love to after that... but I really need to get back." She climbed off of me, fixing her clothes as much as she could.

"Tonight then? Drinks?"

"I've got a big sales meeting with Deacon tonight. Some very big clients." She giggled, like she'd told a joke. Maybe it was a height joke? I wasn't sure. "But! My boys have been working hard putting together a surprise for you!"

"A surprise?" She bent over to give me another deep, passionate kiss.

"You've been so supportive of me baby. I want you to have fun tonight." She looked at me and I could feel the warmth and love radiating from her. "Don't hold back, okay? Take full advantage of tonight!"

"Sure. I will." I told her. A bit disappointed she would be there, but still kind of excited.

"Meet them upstairs after you finish up here." She blew me one last kiss as she walked away. I noticed some red marks on her ass cheeks, like something had been digging into it. Probably from her sitting against the desk or something.

"And remember, have fun!"

What's the suprise?
