The V.I.P. Room

Joanna walked up to the door to the V.I.P. Room just as the doorman stepped in front of her. "Password."

"'Password'?" Joanna asked in disbelief before shaking her head. Ordinarily, she'd floor this bozo. However, she didn't want to alert any civilians to what was going on. "What is this? A speakeasy? I just saw you let that other woman in."

"That was the owner, Ma'am." The man said in annoyance, "Now you have two options. You can either give me the password, or you can walk away and enjoy the casino. Which is it?"

While Joanna was doing everything in her power not to draw attention to herself by strangling this guy, Cate silently observed the whole conversation. Unfortunately, this password was the one thing that her intel had not supplied to her before hand; though whether that was a mistake on her part or theirs she wasn't sure.

Fortunately, she knew someone here who did know this information. Well, not personally knew, but it was an informant that UNITY had sent on ahead.

With a smirk, the woman walked over to a blackjack table where the dealer had just sent away the two players at her game. The dealer looked up with a smile and exclaimed, in a southern twang, "Well, howdy, Ma'am! Step right up and see if Lady Luck is on your side tonight!"

Cate cleared her throat, preparing what she was going to say and praying that this woman was the informant. Looking the dealer in the eye, she slyly asked, "Are you wearing clean knickers today?"

The dealer's smile faltered a bit as her eyes went wide, looking around suspiciously before looking Cate in the eye with a blush and responding, "I was until I laid eyes on you."

As Cate gave a nod, the dealer let out a groan as she put a hand to her forehead. "Who the hell writes this stupid garbage, anyhow?"

"Someone who still hasn't gotten a girlfriend yet, it seems." Cate replied as she sat down at the table. "UNITY sent you? I admit, that's quite the accent you got there."

"Oh, this ain't an accent. I was born right here in the good ol' US of A! Texan, born and raised." The dealer explained in a whisper, "Though, I do have a cousin across the pond who got me this gig after she pulled some strings with my boss at the CIA."

"Interesting." Cate said as she arched an eyebrow. Gesturing over to the red headed woman arguing with the doorman, she asked, "Is she with you and the CIA? Does she work for another branch of the government? Or does she work here?"

The informant looked up at Joanna and tilted her head in confusion. "You got me." She replied, "Never saw her in any of the files we had. And if she's arguing with Wendell over there because she doesn't know the password, then she doesn't work for Delgado. The only people who know the password are her buyers and employees."

"On the subject of passwords," Cate began, "I'm afraid that UNITY failed to inform me about that certain entrance, where it lead, and the very password used to get in."

"Geez, did they expect me to do their job for them?" The informant asked, rolling her eyes. Shaking her head, she explained, "That there is the entrance to the halls that lead to her underground auction house; where the real money here is made. The casino was built right on top of it, the room itself is actually an elevator that leads down to her auctions tonight."

"And the password?" Cate asked.

"I'm warning you in advance, it's literally the dumbest password you will ever hear in your life..."

"For the last time," the doorman said, getting ready to reach for his radio, "no password, no entry!"

"Okay, Pal! That's it!" Joanna snapped as she slowly reached for her belt. Attention from civilians be darned, she was getting into that room and taking out Delgado! Just as she reached for her knife, however...

"Excuse me."

Both Joanna and the doorman looked up to see Cate walking casually towards the V.I.P. Room with a smirk on her face. "Who dressed that woman? My Grandma?" Joanna thought to herself as Cate got closer.

"I'll be with you in a second, Ma'am." The doorman said to Cate. Turning his attention back to Joanna, he said, "And as far as you go - "

"Actually, your right." Joanna said, getting an idea. "I am so sorry for wasting your time."

And with that, Joanna turned and left, surprising both Cate and the doorman as she turned around the corner. Unbeknownst to either of them, however, Joanna wasn't actually leaving. Pulling something out of her pocket, the red head quickly pressed a button and, within seconds, vanished in warp of light.

Now completely invisible to the naked eye, Joanna returned just as the doorman returned his attention to Cate.

"Sorry about that, Ma'am." The doorman apologized, before clearing his throat. "Password."

Doing her absolute best to keep a straight face, Cate responded with, "Drows sap."

"You may proceed." The doorman said as he stepped to the side.

Just as Cate took a step forward, the sound of a hand slapping a forehead was heard, taking both briefly by surprise before Cate merely shrugged and entered the room.

Unaware of the invisible red head following her.

Cate looked around the stylish lounge before making her way over to a bust that the informant had told her about. Poking it in the left eye, a section of the wall to her left opened up, revealing an elevator with reflective stainless steel walls. The agent(s) soon stepped into the elevator as Cate pressed the down button, the doors closing as they began their descent.

However, after twenty seconds had passed, Cate couldn't help but feel that someone or something was in the elevator with her...
