Chapter 10 by The-Drunken-Bandit The-Drunken-Bandit

What would you like to Examine?

The Room...

You are currently in the Last Resort Hotel, your new home.

That being said, you are currently on the secret 13th floor of the hotel. Known as Ghostbusters HQ, the area that contains all of your ghost fighting tools and equipment. With it acting as a secondary security office and panic room to watch the hotel's events and plan for future missions and jobs.

The floor itself is divided up into several different rooms, all leading back to a central hub that you were currently standing in. From what you could see, there were four different rooms, each with a sliding automatic door that held a sign above it that identified what each one was and what its intended purpose was for.

The four different doors were labeled: Lab, Ecto cells, Decontamination, and Server room.

Finally, the decor of the main central hub that you currently rested in was rather simple. The room itself was rather simple, with red brick walls and white laminate flooring with steel supports showing and improving the room's structural integrity. The doors themselves looked something out of a mid-century's design, with them being curvy chrome automatic sliding doors. Upon closer inspection, it appears that these doors could be sealed to contain something within or to keep something out.

A large round central table was in the center of the room, with eight different large swiveling chairs surrounding it. Each chair was bolted to the floor and looked akin to the overseer's armchair from the fallout series. But instead of blue fabric and yellow trim, it was a stark red fabric that was inlaid with white trim. And where the vault text symbol once rested, rested the symbol of the Ghostbusters proudly in the headrest of the chairs.

Across from where you were standing, on the other side of the room, looked to be an elevator entrance. It was perhaps the only thing that stood out a place amongst the rest of the central hubs rustic but futuristic midcentury feel. As the golden Art Deco doors were decorated with the Ghostbusters symbol, and there, on top of the opening, rested the logo once more. Replacing the number 13 on the floor identifier, signaling that the Ghostbusters HQ rested on the 13th floor of the last resort hotel.

Finally, where you stood, off to the right side of the room rested the equipment lockers. Of which there were four, all of them being made of white painted steel and were unlabeled and unclaimed as of this moment. To the right of them and closest to the supercomputer were the equipment racks that held four different sets of complete Ghostbusters equipment.

One of which is currently missing, as you are currently wearing that set of standard Ghostbusters equipment.

Further to your right and against the wall next to the supercomputer was the door that led to the server room, which was more than likely behind the supercomputer.

Further to your left and past the lockers and equipment racks was the door to the decontamination room. Behind you and on the other side of the room rested the emergency fire polls that allowed you to slide directly from your penthouse to the Ghostbusters headquarters. The poles themselves look like something out of Adam West's 1960's Batman, with golden fire polls and a soft red plush cushion that would halt and ease the fall of whoever uses the firepole to reach Ghostbusters HQ.

The right of this was the door that led to the Ecto cells and further to the right, past a series of bookshelves and living room set of a flat-screen television, couch, a large red carpet, and a lazy boy, rested the door to the Labs.

Finally, there was the supercomputer, a large series of screens that were all linked together seamlessly to create one solid image. There was no central computer tower visible nearby, but the computer itself appeared to be a mixture of new and old technology. New in a sense, it included the newest and greatest software and hardware currently available, but old in the sense that it looked much older than it should, hiding its capabilities underneath the guys of archaic, outdated, and outmoded technology. In front of the supercomputer rested another overseers chair, in the same fashion as the ones that surrounded the main central table, and it was currently unoccupied.
