The Relocation
Layla was pregnant with a girl, Lee and Lorelei with boys. Lorelei did consider having that be switched, since her clan was a matrilinear one, but ultimately elected not to. “There will be plenty of opportunities to produce an heiress,” she had reasoned. As long as John had anything to say about it, she was entirely correct.
Past that, John was treated to a couple fairly regular days. He was in his office with one body, speaking to various important people with another and continuously pounded Layla with the third. The brunette was insatiable. Unlike others, who often needed a couple of days to become able to take the superhuman levels of pleasure the Gamer delivered, Layla had long since gotten used to the strain of constant climaxes. That wasn’t to say he didn’t pound her into a coma a couple of times, just that he didn’t need to be tender with her.
Her levels rose rapidly as he trained both her pussy and throat in taking him to harem standards. Well, she was training herself most of the time. Layla definitely had her submissive side, but she had more in common with Hailey than women like Nightingale. She served in an active capacity, taking pride in getting her hands all over him, and loved to combine it with a bit of domming by making other women act for her.
Work continued to be of manageable levels, leaving him with many free afternoons, which he then used to run Instant Dungeons with various haremettes. The only ones he didn’t invite to them were the pregnant ones. Though their survival was guaranteed, none of them wanted to find out what happened if some rhinoceros creatures skewered their abdomen and happened to hit the wellspring of new life. Would healing magic fix that? Would the recovered baby be the same one as before?
Answers to that were not explored. The seven pregnant ladies were all 100% committed to keeping that new life growing in them safe. No such risks would be taken.
So, he just grinded with the others. Here and there, he threw in time to clear out a Class Challenge. He was getting quite close to the final level in Monster Girl Creator, but he wasn’t quite there yet.
Today, he would not have the time to change that – because today was the day of the Guild Hall relocation.
“Everyone, prepare for transmigration,” he spoke into the livestream. It was the last in a series of announcements, meant to make sure that everyone who wanted to remain in Goblin Capital could do so. No doubt there was still that one procrastinating nerd in some basement somewhere that had forgotten what day tomorrow was and gone asleep at 5 AM, but the Gamer had done his due diligence now.
If that hypothetical person existed, they would just have to take a plane back home.
John pressed the button. The edges of the Guild Hall began to shimmer with that familiar, prismatic light that accompanied all forms of raw magic. Gaia’s domain, the conceptual realm where Illusion Barriers spawned from, flowed into the previously mitigated gap between Guild Hall and Goblin Capital. The sky was covered in rainbows, consolidating further and further.
Simultaneously, there was a tug on John’s everything. It was like drifting along in a strong current, except that current also went through himself. An omnipresent buzzing sound, deep in its pitch, completed the audio-visual experience. The sound intensified, the colours became an impenetrable curtain, and then they teleported.
Space stretched, then stopped. It hit John like a rollercoaster slamming the brakes. All momentum, all of the tugging, vanished in an instant. Simultaneously, there was still a movement to his soul. A dual sensation that was only a little less dizzying the second time around.
The Guild Hall manifested above the water west of the city of Eureka, California. To be even more accurate, it manifested west of Fairhaven, a smaller community located on a tongue of land that walled in a bay between itself and the rest of the continent, where Eureka was.
The Floaters kept the entirety of the massive Guild Hall up in the air, while John opened up the map. Gently, the mass of land and water shifted further south, until there was about fifty metres of water between its easternmost island. The land tongue was perfect to develop an industrial area on. A low current population of less than 200 could be easily tied into what they did as a front of their real activities and Eureka itself was a rather small city that could be similarly subverted for their purposes.
John didn’t feel wonderful about subtly changing the underlying conditions of the city to suit his needs, but he needed to do it for the best of Fusion. Access to mundane infrastructure just made Mobile Barriers that much more efficient. Even with their new Rail Barriers (name pending), they could only cover the most traditional routes and that was after they were set up. Which, between the labour and material requirements, would take some time.
With the Guild Hall relocated, the next step in the program began. Those settled in the refugee camps on the outer rings were shipped out to land already purchased in and around Eureka to begin their new lives there. A select few were instead moved to the inner layer of the Guild Hall, where commerce now continued as usual. Since John had no intentions to make any edits to those parts of his headquarters, he did not need them temporarily vacated.
“I’ll do the Guild Hall first and then adjust our apartment!” John had to raise his voice to be heard over the buzz of the BBQ. Salamander was on the grill, moving raw meat onto a plate and grilled meat onto another, which then served as the distribution system to try and satiate Nathalia and Eliana – to little avail.
One had to wonder how much worse that would get once the pregnancy cravings started.
Regardless of that question, John got to work.
He didn’t have any great plans for the update. All he wanted to do was to make the mountains in the distance less of a slapdash towering wall that surrounded the Guild Hall on all sides like some kind of rim for a bowl. He still wanted the mountains (because who didn’t like a terrain advantage?), but he could do this more gracefully.
The first thing he did was to scale them all down tremendously. He also switched out the type used in the north-eastern part to be in line with the rest of Fire Island. After that were the actual changes.
John had gotten several requests by Fusion’s dwarven population to add a place for them to live according to their preferences and the Gamer decided to oblige by putting a cave system in the north. There, the stout fellows could dig and expand their own little hold. To their east, John placed three barrack-like structures for any more fire inclined species to make a home near the new set of lava lakes he created there.
Going west, he split that particular island in two, so the Military Harbour had an extra way out. He also widened the southern half of those now two islands so he could place some extra barracks there. To not make the soldiers stationed there hate their life, he replaced ice and snow with lush green grass.
On both ice-influenced tops of the outer ring, John placed a series of lodges that would serve as the homes for people and species that preferred the cold climate. East of that, in the light influenced area, he made a dream of Ehtra’s into reality and spawned in a number of buildings that she had provided the schematics for. He named it New Babyl. On the eastern part of the ring, since he had the space and ability, he placed a massive Coliseum.
It was an actual new Building. At Tier 5, it had a number of neat features aiding in showmanship, but the most important part of it was the automatic Fateweaving integrated into it. Now, John could hold his upcoming intra-harem tournament without worries. Also, he could slowly transform more into Romulus as he aged. The call to ritualistic combat was strong for immortals, it seemed.
Just because he could, he put another forest down. He liked those.
And that was basically it.

All in all, it wasn’t a dramatic change, but it certainly looked cleaner.
Afterwards, it was time to do the upgrade to his personal apartment. There, he started with the opposite: scaling everything up from where it had been before. The living room and the bedroom were scaled up tremendously, as was the spa area. Because he could, John moved the Sex Dungeon from a different part of the building right next to the bedroom. At this point, there was no reason to keep those areas separated. He also expanded their clothing storage into a massive walk-in closet.
The indoor gym and gaming room remained a fixture of this new apartment, the latter bigger than the former. Several of his women liked moving their bodies, all of them liked to game to some degree, and he couldn’t justify calling himself the Gamer if he made his gym larger than his computer cave.
The previous two dedicated bathrooms were expanded to six, four larger and two smaller ones. The reason for this was simply to reduce traffic congestion in the morning. Past the early hours, there rarely had been an issue in this regard. North of that, he put a nursery. A long room with green grass, serving as a natural ground softener. Well, as natural as magically nourished indoor grass could be.
Obviously, his children would get their own rooms as they grew older, but for the toddler years he knew it was best to keep them close. Letting them tumble around in actual grass just felt like the proper thing to do. A luxury that he had and would exercise.
Being left with a little bit of extra space after all of that, he added two ‘leisure rooms’ that could be used for whatever.

“A dwelling worthy of the Imperial Choir,” Nathalia remarked approvingly as she looked around. The rest of them were fast behind them, inspecting the floor and the walls. There wasn’t much more to look at currently. “Though a bit barren.”
“I thought I’d let the corridors fill themselves,” John said. The drawback of a massive home was all the space needed to connect it all. Potted plants and pictures would make the corridor a little less echo-y, John hoped.
After they had checked out in person all of the new and upgraded spaces, they went to the living room. As before, the U-shaped Couch arrangement served as their primary meeting spot. Aclysia got to work on stocking the pantry. Now that she had a properly cooled room right next to her kitchen, she was going to make use of it.
Everyone else sat on the Couch, as they had a topic to discuss. “29 potential participants,” John began the listing. “7 of which are out due to pregnancy, bringing us down to 22. Then Fianna is out due to secrecy and Lydia is out due to being the head of another state. Lu Zhi has not yet decided whether she wants to partake or not.”
Ehtra shook her head. “Why is the tomboy creature even thinking about it? It’d be a pretty dead giveaway if she was part of the harem-exclusive tournament.”
“I think you just said why,” Momo drawled. “She’s a tomboy creature. She’s spoiling for a fight.”
“Assuming she does not participate,” John said. “We are at 19 participants, which is a bit of an awkward number. I could solve this by separating myself into me and the Creator Puppet.”
“You’ll be screwed without your strong body around against many of us, tiger,” Jane pointed out.
“It’s not an all that serious affair. We’re doing this mostly to display how strong we are and give the people something to talk about.”
“Can’t we just move ahead with 19?” Momo asked. “Whatever we do, the brackets will be awkward.”
“Lu Zhi insists she’ll be part of it,” Scarlett informed them, in technological correspondence as per usual.
“Really?” John asked. “I know we were making it more and more blatant, but this is really blatant.”
“Not to mention unbecoming of a head of state,” Lydia drawled.
“Not everyone hates tournaments as much as ya do,” Jane said.
“I do not hate tournaments, I loathe them as a method of determining fitness for government.” Shaking her head, the Queen of Mithril relented. “All the same, it is her choice to make.”
“The official excuse will be the expensive wood we are gifting her, alongside the piece of land she’ll get to own in Fusion,” Scarlett stated.
That made sense for the excuses used, it just was that no one would believe that… well, actually, in John’s experience, enough people believed it that the public conversation usually was just stirred in a certain way. People that COULD observe the obvious were common, but people that DID were not. The discrepancy was born from a general lack of care.
‘Maybe Lu Zhi is trying to create an uproar in her court?’ John theorized. ‘She’s been subtly cleansing potentially disloyal elements for a few weeks now. She’ll probably do one big purge before Vinh can strike and split loyalties.’ “Well, then with those 20 participants… this is our randomly generated tournament bracket.”

“As for the rules, the only rule is that you shouldn’t reveal any powers that have never been seen by the public before. Beyond that, I trust all of you not to mistreat your fellow woman.”
“As you heard our man say,” Moira drawled. “We are free to mistreat him.”
“I may act on that,” Nightingale hummed.
“C-can I just give up now?” Gnome asked.
“Oh, come on, you’re a tough tract of land!” Metra encouraged her first opponent.
“This is gonna be interestin’.” Jane’s eyes snapped from the displayed tournament bracket to Scarlett, a predatory grin on her face. “We’re starting on a highlight.”
“I’ll wear the kid’s gloves,” Scarlett returned with a sharp smile.
“And I begin with a bloody headache,” Moira sighed.
“I’ll be gentle,” Nia promised.
Trash talk continued.
