"Okay, Data, we're ready for the routine diagnostic. Reg, do you have the program ready?" asked Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge, after convincing Data on the new to move up his routine exam. What the android didn't know...

"Ready sir, " said Reg Barclay, even as he was thinking, 'Thanks to Geordi, we have a way to make Data loyal and obedient to me without compromising what is important to help me with my plans. But using the Positronic Decompiler, we can alter the behaviour and abilities of Data's programming. Which means I can keep the abilities of Data, while changing his behaviour to benefit me.'

"Okay, you should come back online in a few hours." said the commander, as he ready the secret program.

"Proceed, Geordi." said Data, as he was shut down and the program was uploading.

Reg was on pins and needles as he waited for the time to countdown. It could fail, even now. Revealing his plans and ideas. However, if it was successful... He would have more then he had ever dreamed. So as the hours ran down, the last few seconds before the ending of the upload were the worst.

Data came back online and spoke, "Barclay upgrade program engaged. Total obedience and loyalty to Reginald Barclay made primary priority. How may I aid you with your desires, Mister Barclay sir?"

Reg smiled as the program was working, both on Data's words and action (He was submissive towards Reg) but the scanners were reading the systems were running properly. The yellow shirt smiled and said, "We'll have much to do soon. But I believe a party is needed to celebrate my gaining control of the ship. You can help me send invitations, with the special rules and commands for the party in them."

Reg was going to celebrate... with the most fun he was going to have in his life.
