The Interview

Clark Kent stepped into Lex’s office, bringing with him a duffel bag of supplies. While Luthor thought it looked unprofessional, he felt assured he was still safe. Security would’ve looked through it half a dozen times by now, certainly. And they had! Too bad for them that the real weapons had been shrunk to the size of an ant, undetectable by scanners and thorough searches.

“Mr. Luthor, I’m glad you agreed to this interview,” Clark said, putting the bag down on a table, and pulling out the first gadget, which made all cameras and recording devices in the room falter. Of course, it was something Lex didn’t noticed. “With the destruction of the city by that robot, the people will want to know just how the biggest name in town will began its repair.”

Lex smirked. Kent was stroking Lex’s ego, and he certainly didn’t mind. Anything that made him feel better than the Boy Scout certainly worked. “I’m just glad those at the Daily Planet are seemingly doing well, given the robot’s destruction nearly took out half the building…”

Clark was furious again. Any doubts he may have had before were now gone, replaced by righteous anger and a need to seek justice. He didn’t want to play any more games, and decided the immediate approach would do.

Pulling the ant-sized devices and objects out of his bag, Superman quickly expanded them to regular size, and before Lex could even turn around he was tied to a chair with unbreakable bonds, and his mouth covered by simple duct tape. “I’m going to make you pay, Luthor. And you won’t be able to stop it in the slightest.”

Superman began adjusting what he had, making sure what he was going to do was just right. Suddenly, Lex Luthor’s body guard Mercy Graves entered the room, hearing the commotion.

“Superman? What are you doing here?” Immediately charging at the man of steel, Mercy was stopped before she could even think of pulling out an alert. She was tied to a chair in the same was Luthor was.

Superman shut the door, and smiled. “It’s actually a good think you came in when you did, Ms. Graves. Because it means I get to show Luthor what I’m going to do to him.”

Superman pulled one last shrunken item from his bag that expanded to regular size. Both Lex and Mercy were horrified at what they saw.

It was a Starro spore.
