What's next?

The Big Day Pt. 3

You and Liam head to the bathroom, your heels clicking softly on the tile floor as you enter. Liam's now fully dressed, looking sharp in his suit as he adjusts his cufflinks. The scattered makeup products from earlier still litter the countertop, a messy reminder of the hours spent getting ready for the night ahead.

"Alright," Liam says, turning to you with a grin. "Let's summon the messenger."

You roll your eyes, still not quite used to how nonchalantly you and Liam have been dealing with literal gods. But you nod, stepping over to the toilet.

"Flush three times, say his name," you mutter under your breath, a bit skeptical even after everything you've seen. You reach for the handle, flushing once... twice... three times. "Hermes," you call out, your voice echoing slightly in the small bathroom.

For a moment, nothing happens, and you glance over at Liam with a raised eyebrow. But just as you're about to speak, the surface of the mirror ripples like water, and suddenly, Hermes' face appears, grinning at you both. His messy hair and mischievous smile are exactly as you remember, but there’s something off—he looks... distracted.

"Yo!" he greets, his tone laid-back, as always. "What’s up, boys?"

He does a double take when he glances at you, eyebrows shooting up as he looks you over. "Damn! Is that you, man?" he asks, his tone impressed. "I almost didn’t recognize you. Looking fine as hell in that dress."

You grimace a little, though you can’t deny the slight flicker of pride at his words. "Thanks, I guess," you mumble.

But it’s clear something’s going on with Hermes—he’s fidgeting, his voice sounding strained, and you can hear little grunts slipping through, like he’s... busy.

Liam cocks his head. "Uh, everything alright, man? You seem a little... preoccupied."

Hermes lets out a breathless chuckle, brushing a hand through his hair. "Yeah, about that... I’m kinda in the middle of something right now." There’s another grunt, and he shifts in the mirror like he’s trying to stay steady. "You know, mortal pleasures, the usual."

Liam's eyes light up with interest, and he raises an eyebrow. "Wait, you’re literally banging someone right now?"

Hermes gives a cheeky grin. "Yeah, man. Splitting my consciousness for a minute. It’s not easy, but hey, I’m multitasking."

Liam bursts into laughter. "Dude, you’re insane. Who is she? What’s she like?"

Hermes smirks, clearly happy to indulge. "Her name’s Amanda. She’s this curvy little thing from L.A. Met her last week. Gorgeous face, great personality—oh, and dude, her ass? Out of this world." He groans again, obviously still mid-act. "We’re... in doggy right now, actually. She’s a screamer, too."

Liam grins, totally caught up in the conversation. "Damn, man, you always get the best ones. What about her boobs?"

Hermes winks. "Oh, man. Perky. Perfect handful. She’s got this little waist, and those hips—well, let’s just say I’m enjoying every second."

You roll your eyes, feeling a wave of annoyance. "Seriously? Can we focus for like, two seconds? We actually have business here."

Hermes chuckles, still a little breathless. "Yeah, yeah, my bad, man. You’re right. What’s the deal? You need my help for something?"

You shoot Liam a glare, who shrugs sheepishly but nods. "Yeah, we need some magic for tonight."

You’re standing in the bathroom, feeling like the weight of the world is resting on your shoulders when Hermes’ face pops back up in the mirror, grinning.

“Wait, wait, one sec—I’m gonna finish up with Amanda real quick. Be right back, boys. She’s just... really close right now.”

You blink, both baffled and mildly horrified. Is this really happening right now?

Liam, on the other hand, smirks, totally unfazed. “Get it, bro! Finish strong!”

With a cheeky wink, Hermes disappears from the mirror completely, leaving you standing there with a flustered expression while Liam laughs quietly to himself.

"Are we seriously cheering on a god who's mid-fuck?" you mutter, crossing your arms, feeling more awkward by the second.

Liam just shrugs. "Hey, he's helping us out—let him do his thing. Besides, can you blame him? Sounds like Amanda's a total babe." He grins even wider, clearly enjoying this entire weird situation. You’re about to snap back when the mirror ripples again, and Hermes reappears, looking much more... relaxed.

"Congratulations," you mutter, more than ready to get back on track. "So, can we get to the part where you actually help us?"

Hermes waves his hand dismissively. "Yeah, yeah, I’m on it." He stretches his arms, wiggling his fingers dramatically, clearly enjoying himself. "Okay, you want to channel Sofia Armenta, right? Plus a little extra spice to really make Marcus forget all about Victoria."

You nod, heart pounding. The plan feels real now. You’re about to become someone else entirely, even if it’s temporary.

Hermes starts waving his hands in intricate patterns, his fingers flickering with a faint glow. “Alright, this is gonna give you Sofia’s vibe. Confidence, allure, and a little unpredictability—Marcus loved that about her.”

You swallow hard as you start to feel... strange. There’s a warmth spreading through your chest, not unpleasant but definitely unsettling. Your thoughts begin to feel fuzzy, as if they’re no longer entirely your own.

"Uh... Hermes?" you ask, feeling the weird sensation creep up your spine.

"It’s happening," Hermes says, his eyes gleaming with a mischievous grin. "Just give it a second."

And then, in one rapid shift, it hits you.

Your brain rewires itself in an instant, and suddenly, you feel different—so different. Your posture changes, shifting into something more fluid, more sensual. Your hips naturally tilt when you stand, your shoulders relax, and your head angles just slightly as if you’re perpetually sizing things up with a knowing look. It’s not even something you’re consciously doing anymore—it’s just happening.

“Oh,” you breathe out, surprised at the sudden shift in your tone, which has become softer, yet commanding. More... inviting.

Hermes smirks, clearly proud of himself. “Ladies and gentlemen, meet... Sofia.” He winks at you. "Or, rather, Luna."

You blink, shaking your head as you try to fight through the haze of your altered behavior, but it’s hard. Everything you're going to say, every movement you're going to make—it’s all Luna. All of it feels natural now, but not you.

“I feel good,” you admit, running your hands down your body, which moves in a way that’s almost... seductive. “But also... I don’t know. Powerful.”

Liam whistles, still looking you up and down. "Marcus is not going to stand a chance tonight."

Hermes chuckles. "Told you I had this covered. Now, for the cherry on top..." He waves a hand toward Liam. "Don’t worry, I’ve got something for you too, bro."

Liam stands up straighter, intrigued. "Oh yeah?"

Hermes wiggles his fingers again, casting a spell over Liam. "I’m giving you the charm to pull Victoria’s attention, make her think twice about Marcus. She’ll see you, and... well, let’s just say, you’ll be a little more irresistible. Kind of like that time you hit it off with... what was her name? That blonde girl from the sorority? Claire?"

Liam laughs. "Oh, Ashley? Man, I still remember when I fucked her those times in first year."

Hermes grins, finishing his spell. "Exactly. You’ll be a magnet. And, uh, if anything doesn’t go exactly as planned, don’t blame me. I’m not the god of perfect personalities, after all. But hey, it’ll be close enough."

You cross your arms, feeling the difference in your stance immediately—your body language just oozes confidence now. You should feel nervous, but Luna is taking over. It’s like watching yourself from behind a glass, slightly removed from what you’re actually doing.

Liam looks at you, then glances at the mirror. "So... we’re all set?"

Hermes nods, giving you both a thumbs-up. "You’ve got what you need. Just remember, Marcus is no fool. Play your cards right."

You try to speak, but Luna takes over again, your voice coming out smooth and sultry. “Oh, don’t worry,” you say, a playful smile tugging at your lips. “I’ll make sure he remembers me.”

Liam snickers, clearly impressed, but a part of you is screaming internally at how naturally those words came out. This persona is strong, and you just hope you can keep it in check when it really matters.
