The Bar Crawl

Finally, the teens agreed to go out for dinner and see if they could find a place with a band or a dancefloor to have some extra fun that night. The boys ended up waiting by the cars for almost an hour for the girls to get ready, they joked around while they tried to kill time and laughed while they shared complaints about how long it was taking the girls to get ready. The boys all wore jeans with Jake and Charlie wearing t-shirt while Logan and Duncan had gone with dress shirts, blue for Logan and black for Duncan.

When the girls finally came out they weren't disappointed with what they saw. The girls were all dressed really hot and they knew it. The boys couldn't take their eyes off them and they could feel their lust grow, and their pants get tighter, as they gave each one of them an admiring look over.

Most of the nightlife of Swallow Crossing was concentrated along the riverfront. It was a mix of different fast food joints with a few family-friendly restaurants, a dance club, and a few bars. Being the beginning of Spring Break the area was teeming not only with the local high school crowds but also with new arrivals from Green Hills College which was a little over an hour away. They walked from one local to the next looking for a place to land until Scarlett finally found a place called the 'Siren's Song' that was hosting a band that night. Although it only served hamburgers, hotdogs, and fries, it was enough for them tonight considering that it also had a bar for drinks off to the side and also a small dance floor that could be expanded later on when they moved back a few tables or when the band left the stage.

Judging by the number of people lining up to enter it seemed that the place was a favorite for the locals and the teens were lucky they were early that night. They entered the place and managed to snag a spot near the dance floor with a couch up against the wall and brought over a couple of tables and chairs for everyone.

Jake, Duncan, and the girls waited at the tables while Logan and Charlie went to place their orders at the counter. Jake and Duncan sat on the couch with Alice sandwiched in between them. Logan and Charlie went to join the rapidly forming line to place their orders. It seemed like they were early, the place looked like it might get packed later on. While they stood in line waiting to make their orders someone tapped their shoulder to get their attention.

"Excuse me? You from here?" Logan heard a soft voice with a strange accent behind him. Turning around he came face to face with a line of young people behind him and right in front of him he saw a very pretty light-skinned Asian girl talking to him.

"What?" he asked the girl.

"You from here?" she repeated "You know this place? Is any good?"

"Sorry," Logan said rubbing the back of his neck "We're from Azure Rocks."

"Azure Rocks?! Good! We plan, go there next." the girl said excitedly as she clapped her hands.

Logan looked at her a bit confused. By her looks and accent, he guessed she was a foreigner but he didn't understand why she would be excited about them being from Azure Rocks.

"Hi! I'm Charlie, Charlie Harrington," Charlie stepped up and extended his hand and shook hers, "And this is my best friend Logan Ravers."

"Hi! I am Akira Saito" The girl said pointing to herself 'She is friend, Keiko Nomura."

"Hello." Keiko waved from behind Akira. "Sorry to bother, but we're new here. We're exchange students at Green Hills College and we came here to see something different. What my friend was anxious to say was that some of our classmates say Azure Rocks and Silver Lake are pretty cool so we were planning on visiting during Spring Break and started here in Swallow Crossing." she said with much better english than her friend and with just enough of an accent to convince Logan she really was a foreigner.

"Well we were planning on staying here this week," Logan said, "but we can tell you a few places to visit in Azure Rocks if you decide to go there."

"That would be nice." Keiko smiled at him. While they moved up the line Logan and Charlie told them of a few places to visit while they were in the area until they placed their order and were ready to head back with their hamburgers and drinks.

"Are you two here alone?" she asked hopefully.

"No, we're here with some friends over there," Logan said pointing to the rest of the group.

"Oh, I see," Keiko said with a hint of disappointment "Well, maybe we can meet in Azure Rocks someday?"

"Sure why not," Logan said not really considering meeting the girls but just trying to be polite.

"You friend not look happy." Akira said tilting her eyes over to the rest of Logan's friends.

A quick glance over and Logan saw the sour look both Sharon and Delilah were giving them. "Nah, it's okay," Charlie said as they parted ways and headed back to join the rest of the group.

"Just a couple of exchange students from Green Hills," Logan said brushing it off "They wanted to know where to go to have some fun here or over at Azure Rocks."

Logan laughed and ate his hamburgers with his friends, waiting for the band to come on stage and start playing. When they were almost done a man who looked to be in his late 30s or early 40s came on stage and tried to make an announcement.

"Folks, I'm sorry to say but the band that was going to play tonight, "Green Dwarves" just called to say that their flight was canceled due to an electrical storm down south." he said. "so those of you who came to see them if you go up to the counter right now I can refund you 20% on your purchase tonight."

The crowd groaned and hooted at the poor man but he raised his hands to continue speaking. "Please! Please!" he begged the audience "What we can do is turn this into Karaoke Night and start the dance earlier." This was met by cheers and applause from the crowd, it seemed that Karaoke Night was pretty popular here.

"What a loser!" Sharon groaned "This sucks!"

"Well, I'm up for some Karaoke!" Scarlett cheered in stark contrast to Sharon. "C'mon it gonna be fun! I need a partner! Who's with me!"

"Count me out!" Jake said.

"Logan's got a pretty good voice you know," Duncan said. Logan just waved him off.

"Please Logan!?" Scarlett pouted as she begged him "Pretty Please!?"

"C'mon Logan," Duncan said. "I'd go but I suck at this and I don't want to make Scarlett look bad, again." he stress the last point, "Even if you're out of tune you can at least make Scarlett sound great."

Narrator: It was only much later, when Audrey and Danial showed us some photos, did Logan and I realize that Keiko Nomura wasn't an exchange student at Green Hills College. She was Himari Ryu.
