What team does Naruto end up on?

Team 8 with Hinata and Ino

"Sakura, Sasuke and Kiba will be in Team 7," Iruka said. "Naruto, Hinata and Ino will be in Team 8. And Shino, Shikamaru and Choji will be in Team 10."

"Aren't you supposed to put the one with the lowest scores on the same team as the person with the highest scores to create a balanced team?" Shino asked.

"True. I would have otherwise done that but Naruto and Sasuke hardly get along," Iruka said. "And a strong capacity for teamwork is more important than individual skills that can be developed with training and time. So I swapped Naruto with Ino. Then I realised that Sakura and Ino also hardly get along, so I swapped her with Kiba."

"So I could have been on the same team as Sasuke!" Ino said. "Couldn't you have swapped out Sakura!?"

And so, Naruto was paired with Hinata and Ino.
