Karla's head tilted back. The light caught her glasses, so that they seemed to become circles of fire. The words that came next were calm, measured, honeyed. They sank into Sue Storm's brain like cocoa powder dissolving into warm milk on the stove top.

"If you're scared, you don't have to be alone, of course. I can be there with you. Would you enjoy that? Having a friend there to hold your hand? It isn't quite the same thing to be naked with someone else, is it?"

The blonde superheroine sank deeper in her chair, and Dr. Stone leaned forward and grabbed the teacup before it spilled. The psychiatrist set it aside. Then she placed her hands on the reporter's knees. The Invisible Woman was wearing her costume, with a jacket on top. The plain unstable molecule fabric was thin, and Sue felt the comforting warmth of her palms.

"We won't go too far," Moonstone said, as the implants buzzed maddeningly in the villain's head. "We don't even have to show our faces. Would that make it easier for you? If we wore masks?"

"Maybe?" Sue said, her temples throbbing. In the suggestive state, her mind felt fuzzy around the edges. The psychiatrist's words sank in and they all seemed so reasonable that Sue couldn't find any arguments against them.

"Masks, yes," Dr. Stone said. "But nothing else. Naked from the waist down. Just the two of us. It will be a way to express your confidence in your body. To express your sexuality. To come to peace with it. And who knows? Perhaps you'll want to show your husband the video, too..."
