Sue Storm Has A Mental Breakdown

The rain started before Sue Storm made it back to the Baxter Building. She was shivering and shaking by the time she arrived. H.E.R.B.I.E. said something, but the blonde didn't respond. Just crawled into the shower and started scrubbing.

An hour later, the robot shut off the water.

Reed Richards and the rest of the Fantastic Four returned three days later. Sue was still in bed. Paler than before. Dark bags under her eyes. She had lost weight, and when Reed saw her, she shrank from his touch, shivering violently.

"It's all in her head, right?" Johnny Storm said. "We can call a telepath, one of the X-Men—they can fix her."

"A mental health crisis isn't something you can magic away," the Night Nurse said. "They could repress her memories, but that's just putting the situation off. A ticking time bomb. She needs therapy and medication. Without proper treatment, she might begin using other coping mechanisms, like harder drugs."

Ben Grimm was notably absent. He had gone quiet as a mountain when he saw the photos of what Porkum had done to Sue Storm, and then disappeared. Reed Richards hadn't asked what he was doing. Mr. Fantastic had his stretchy arms full with a sick wife and two children to take care of.

"I've asked Doctor Samson and Doctor Strange to consult, draw up a treatment plan," Reed said. His beard was shot through with grey, and he looked as though he had aged a decade in a few days. It was a testament to how desperate he was that Reed Richards had been willing to consult with headshrinkers and mystics. "There are traces of an unknown biocontaminant in her system with mutant DNA. Dr. Henry McCoy has developed a counteragent. That might help with the physical cravings."

The breakthrough came when the Night Nurse was giving Sue a sponge bath. The Invisible Woman's fingers had fallen between her legs. Toyed with her clit. Her blue eyes focused suddenly on the Black woman's cleavage, visible in her white nurse outfit.
