How does Sue Storm tackle the problem?

Sue Storm Assembles A Team

"Thank you all for coming," Sue Storm said to the video chat as the last of her team had called in. She had spent all day contacting people, and now the moment of truth had arrived.

Alice Anderson was a public relations wiz; Janet had recommended her. She had done work covering for Hank Pym after the domestic abuse incident, Carol Danvers and Tony Stark after their problems with alcohol, and had even rehabilitated Hercules' image in Greece after that unfortunate understanding with the transgender sex worker. She looked like someone's mom, white-haired with glasses, in a sharp blue suit and an easy smile.

Jennifer Walters, the She-Hulk, was in her human form, a sedate purple blouse under a gray tweed suit, her hair mousy brown. She smiled at Sue and nodded, every inch the lawyer.

Jessica Jones had a baby in her lap. The private detective looked tired, and Sue winced as she saw the wet spots on the thin white t-shirt that the former heroine wore. No bra, and the baby teething. She remembered those days herself. Still, she had contacts that might be useful.

The gynoid Jocasta was a metal, feminine form, like a living statue. Sue had brought her in at Jan's recommendation as well, because she suspected they might need someone who was good with computers to do what could be done in cyberspace. The Invisible Woman hoped she was willing to help.

Janet van Dyne, had not combed her auburn hair. She stared at the screen with shades on, sipping what looked like a radioactive margarita. Sue wasn't entirely sure where on the planet she was, but she was here to provide emotional support, and Sue appreciated that.

"As you might be aware, nude photos of me from my youth have surfaced on the darknet. We believe they were seeded by a former friend of mine, Mae Mifton, who is reportedly preparing to release them publicly. As she has done with many superheroines," Sue said. "So...options. What do we do?"

"I can write a cease-and-desist letter, and deliver it personally," Jennifer said. "But I know Mifton of old. She's canny. And might release material out of spite. And if she actually owns the rights to the photos, there's not much we can do."

"I can scrub the photos from the dark nets, but that is a temporary measure," Jocasta warned. "I cannot violate her private website without breaking several laws."

"I've put out feelers," Jessica added, "And there's scuttlebutt in the industry that she has more on you than just those photos. Any idea what that is?"

"No," Sue said honestly. "But...there are possibilities. I haven't always been...myself."

Sue Storm thought of Malice. Skrulls. Interdimensional duplicates and doppelgangers. Franklin's reality manipulation powers. Time travel. The truth was, there was probably a lot of porn about of her, for a generous definition of "her."

"I think these are all good first steps," Alice Anderson broke in. "But the most effective strategy to evade the unwanted release of such material is to get in front of it. Provide a legitimate source of carefully curated material, and that takes the wind out of the sails of the would-be pornographer."

Janet sipped her drink, which left a glowing green moustache on her face, and asked:

"Alice, what are you suggesting?"

"That the Invisible Woman do her own nude photoshoot and release it, publicly," Alice said. "Ms. Walters can delay them with the cease-and-desist letter, Ms. Jocasta can scrub the old photos from the internet, and Mrs. Cage can continue to dig into Mae's dirty laundry. But if Sue releases her own official nude photoshoot, the potential profit from releasing the bootlegs plummets."

It was not an avenue that Sue Storm had ever considered before. She wondered what her husband would think.

In his lair, Mysterio chuckled. By now, his agent was suggesting Sue Storm release her own nude photoshoot. The stage was set...
