Succeed (Strength 3)

When it gives you a moment to rest before the next attempt to crush you, you manage to activate your lightsaber again, piercing one of his fingers with it. He roars and loosens his grab on you, after which you get out of his grasp, jump on its arm. He is trying to bite you in half, when you thrust your lightsaber into his mouth. He bites on it, causing himself some painful scars in the process. As it reopens its mouth from the pain, you try thrusting it in there a few more times.

When you have finally made enough damage inside, the Rancor collapses onto the ground and dies of its injuries from inside its mouth. Standing next to it, you deactivate your saber and proudly look over the biggest game you have ever taken down up to that point. When Ranvi arrives, your pride suddenly shifts to regret as she is trying to heal the monster.

Ranvi: What have you done?! He was a living creature, just like you or I!

Lana: Ranvi, I didn't want to do this, but we had a mission and...

Ranvi: I don't care about the mission! We could have captured and shipped him off peacefully, I am 100% sure about it! You just didn't want to save it, that's all!

Lana: That isn't the case! Look, I...!

Hondo: Well well, if it isn't my two almost favourite Jedi! Did you manage to stun my little friend here?

Lana: No Hondo, he is dead...

Hondo: Exactly! And to solve this problem, I demand a compensation!

Lana: A what...?

Hondo: I want monetary compensation! From you! Ooor, the Jedi! Oooooor the Republic, or whoever is going to pay!

Lana: Why would anybody do that?!

Hondo: You have just killed my precious pet! He was worth thousands of credits at the black mar... I mean at the totally legal pet shops of Florum!

Lana: Sure...

Hondo: So, now, that you, A JEDI, have robbed me of my friend, I must be compensated! 20.000 credits will do in advance to help me cope with the loss of my dear little Rancy!

Lana: Rancy...? Wait, 20.000?!

Hondo: In advance only of course, you can send me the rest once I am off this planet!

Lana: Never!

Hondo: Alright, 20.000 in total will do just fine too...!

Lana: No deal Hondo.

Hondo: 10.000...?

Lana: You insolent idiot...!

Hondo: Insolence? We are pirates! we don't even know what that means! Okay, okay, 5.000...? 1.000...? Surely he would have worth that much to anybody...!

Ranvi (furiously): Shut up already! His body isn't even cold yet and you are talking about enriching yourself over his ****?! How can you even call yourself a person?! Don't you have emotions?! He shouldn't have died at all, moreover, he shouldn't have been here the first place! I would love few things more than ripping you to shreds with my lightsaber and...!

Lana (grabbing her hands as Ranvi grabs her lightsaber): Hold on, let's be civil about it! Don't just start slaying all the pirates Ranvi...!

Hondo (scared): Yes, yeees, listen to your friend young lady...! We are nothing, but a few pirates, we didn't want any harm...! There is absolutely no need to hurt any of us...! We will leave this place right not and leave the locals be...! On my honour, of which Hondo Onaka has a lot of, I swear we aren't going to return here anytime in the future! Nor will we attempt to capture an other Rancor...!

Ranvi (still raging): If I ever catch you again doing either of that, you are finished, do you understand?!

Lana (holding her back): Keep calm Ranvi, no need for any further ****...!

Hondo (turning tail and running back to the ship ahead of his men): You have heard the lady men, back to the ship! We are out of here...! This effort is no longer profitable! Goodbye Jedi, I am sending Kenobi my regards!

Pirate (whispering to Hondo as they flee): Boss, are we really going to stop raiding unarmed farmers or capturing wild beasts...?

Hondo (whispering): Wh, he, what?! Who the Hutt told you such nonsense?! I have heard of a little spice cultivating farmer colony on Felucia, maybe we could pay them a friendly visit to share their spice like friends...! Or we could try smuggling Rathtars, I have a very good feeling of making a fortune with that!

The pirates board their ship and fly away for good. You visit the villagers to tell them they are safe, yet they wouldn't trust you, even after you have saved them from the pirates... You knock on several doors, but all you get is a few unwelcome responses. Despite your efforts, you remain unwelcome in the village, so you too get off world. You head back to Coruscant and report to the council about your mission. You add your encounter with Kreia and what she told you about Darth Sidious... That he is the one who orchestrated the entire war...

Windu: This seems to serve as a proof to our greatest fears... This Sith Lord might be more influential than we have ever thought...

Yoda: Much to learn about this mysterious Sith, we still have... Hmm, the dark side clouds everything. Vigilant, we must remain!
