Start Game

As all 4 pieces are setup at the starting line you have to decide who goes first, this is determined by... yep a dice roll... how original...

You each take turns rolling the dice but you hold off on the fourth roll. While you are contemplating who else you could get to play your mother comes in with some chips and salsa.

"You guys working hard or hardly working?" she jokes. "Oh, I see you found a game in the pile, you know I used to be something of a craps player myself" she says as she picks up and rolls the dice.

Suddenly a plume of smoke pours out of the middle of the board disorienting and alarming everyone present. After a few seconds the smoke starts to clear and your mother is the first to react. "Well I don't know what that was about but we should leave and get outside to the fresh air while the smoke clears."

As she reaches the top of the stairs she looks back at you with a puzzled look on her face. "The door is gone" she says.

Lena who is still staring at the board game points at the board and says "you guys might wanna look at this"

Welcome to Goomanji, a game where anything can and will happen.

The rules are simple, follow the instructions you are given or suffer the penalty. You will play until one of you has 5 points. Points are gathered by winning challenges and gaining accompanying rewards. Some challenges may also contain demotions for the losers. Be warned, unsanctioned actions may result in demotions.

Upon reading more you find out the game will alter the perception of those playing. Anything that happens will seem normal and they will keep calm and go along with it.

"Well, we might as well give it a shot, it doesn't look like we can leave anyway" you say.
