Special short chapter #1: Flying quirks

Hi small note, I decided while I rest to make little shorts about this stories, these are all canon but as for the times of when they happen that is unclear and shall not be mentioned, just assume it happens before any arc they go before being posted. That's all, have a nice day.

Location: U.A, Cafetería Lunch Rush

I was currently making a line to eat some food. I have decided to go eat today with Denki, Mineta, Tsuyu, and Momo, a bit of an odd group, but they kind of invited me anyways. I was buying some hot wings for myself, and finally I came around to eat with them.

"Huh, hot wings again. You really like spicy food," Denki said.

"Jack, you shouldn't just eat one thing; it's a better idea if you balance your meals as well." Momo had a worried face as she said that; she was too cute.

"Eh~ I mean, it's new food. Yesterday it was buffalo sauce; today it's actually red and green pepper mango sauce! Different food, you see." She had quite the serious face on her after I explained myself; I was getting her a bit pissed.

"Hey Jack, I have been meaning to ask about something." Denki got closer, talking to me curiously. "Can you make a new arm with your quirk? You said you could change, like, matter and physical stuff, right? So could you?"

"Yup! But I would have to focus a lot on moving it; making it a functional arm is a completely different thing. It's easier for me to just make a random spike spring out of my body." I showed him with my hand as I turned it into a mace made out of stone.

"Woah, amazing! But you totally could make more arms and eyes, right?"

"That is functional? Yeah, but it would take a lot of time connecting nerves, muscle tissue, bones, or whatever other thing it has. It's practically difficult to make things that are already connected to me, so I would need to make space."

"Oh, then how about a tail?" Denki asked again.

"Oh, that's easy." And I showed him a tail of a cat. "Tadah—Neko Jack."

"Awesome, man; being able to change your body to look cooler sounds like a great thing."

"I could even shapeshift into you, but people would notice immediately too much detail."

"Wait—" Mineta interrupted. "Wouldn't that mean you can make wings to fly?"

"No, I cannot."

"Too much detail, I guess?" Mineta thought about me having wings.

"Not really; it's just that flying with wings is impossible. You would need extremely giant wings and a supernatural **** to take flight as well. Then there are the feathers and the propulsion and the air too many crazy variables."

"Makes sense; a lot of people with wings actually can't fly in real life." Momo nodded, happy that I responded with something smart for once.

"Wait, that doesn't make any sense... I have seen Hawks and Tokoyami fly with their wings. Hawks' wings are very small, and Tokoyami doesn't even have feathers." Mineta thought about it; quirk science was just magic hocus pocus at this point.

"That's flying quirks, not winged quirks; there is a difference. Flying quirk will let you fly regardless of physics, winged quirk just gives you wings"

"Well, how do you know your quirk is not a flying quirk then?"

"Because Mineta... B-because... Be-becauuuuusee, because... Huh... Hmmmmmmm, you are kind of right on that one; I don't know that, do I?"

"Uh oh" Tsuyu muttered.

"What?"

"Jack, please don't."

"Don't what?"

"Whatever you are thinking, don't. If you haven't thought of this already, it's because there is no hint for it. You can't do that"

"I am not sure what you are talking about."

"Okay, just don't do anything dumb."

"..."

"..." We kept eating in peace normally for a good while.

"..."

"..."

"So how tall is the U.A. building anyways?"

Location: U.A. roof

"Jack, get down from there."

"It's okay if I fall; I can soften my fall." Tsuyu looked not worried but rather bored, indifferent, and annoyed. Although her expression was the same expressionless face of hers, I could tell, while I was also sporting wings I had just made: Winged Jack!!!.

"You are going to get hurt. Jack."

"No, I won't. I have fallen from larger heights; I can easily make my body more malleable for the fall and soften the ground to a very soft paste. I could drop from 1000 meters and barely come out hurt. In addition to that, my body is much more resilient than it looks like."

"That's not the point; you can't fly."

"Don't listen to her, Jack; go for it." Mineta and Denki were filming me with their phones as I gave them a thumbs up; they were enjoying this more than I was.

"Tsu-Tsu, please Tsu... Imagine this: a new era of heroism as winged Jack, I will be able to face enemies in the air! Something I couldn't before. This could help me be a better hero and raise my rank at Nemo Academy. Besides, I use a looot of strands from my hair to make part of these wings, and I am half a foot shorter too because I had to use a lot of my body mass to make it, so I am light; therefore, I could fly better." I strike a pose, extending my wings.

"No, you will get hurt."

"Well, if he says he can take the fall, there's nothing wrong with trying, right?" Mineta had an evil grin on him; he also lacked faith.

"The lack of faith in all of you, quirk is magic, everyone knows that." I quickly got close to the edge of the roof, looking to see that no one was below me. Tsuyu did the same but started to climb down instead, sticking to the wall. "What are you doing?"

"Waiting on the floor below for when you fall"

"Lack of faith!!"

"Let this be a lesson for mankind to never give up on your—"

I think I have never fallen harder and faster than that; my body wasn't in pain nor hurt, but still it would've been better if I had focused more on making my body more resistant like a diamond.

I heard some steps coming closer, and as I looked up to see Tsuyu just standing there next to me, she was still having that little mad but blank expression of hers. I could also see Denki and Mineta in the distance still filming as well. "Did we learn something new, Jack?" She asked me, trying to see if I learned my lesson.

"... Green and white suits you." She, of course, slapped my head.
