Peach unleashed a wicked grin on her face, she could play the refusal card right here to keep mario longing for it the rest of the journey. Although she was often the captor, this moment surges her with power, one she could get used to.
"Sure, i guess we could camp by the bush for a while, i'm getting really hungry."

The bush was as thick as she originally made it out to be, forming an essential barrier against the unrelentless beating of the golden sun. Peach grabs one of the fruit from the tree and eyeballs it profusely, probing at every inch of the service to check if it was edible. it was a bright green color, round like in shape and smooth in texture. Mario calmly scratches his chin and exchanges peach with a unusual glare.

"Why don't you just eat it, princess?" Mario spoke with a dim tone, as if egging her on
"Hey. This fruit could be poisonous. Actually, why don't YOU try it?" Peach gave him an evil glare, as much as she loved mario, she had the advantage here, and if mario ever wanted to get another shot with her again, he had no real choice.
Mario raised it to his face, and quickly nibbled on the fruit, peach tilts her head and waits gleefully for marios response.
"Delicious, you try it now" Mario hands her the fruit, Peach quickly snatches it from his hand and sinks her teeth as far into the fruit as it would go. the fruit was soft and sweet with a distinct apple-like taste. after swallowing the chunks she bite off, she licks her lips.
"Oh wow, so nice... i have never ever had anything so delicious, not even those cakes i baked for you taste as sweet."

As Peach runs the thought of the fruit back through her mind, a hot feeling jolts through her body, was it the after-effects? or did something completely unaware happen?
Either way, the feeling overcame her

Mario was confused, and couldn't quite work out what was happening
