I made it over to the door and began to close it as I heard the sound of rushed foot steps heading towards the door. Before I could close the door all the way Jinx slid through the tiny gap and fell face first onto the floor, panting and clearly out of breath.

“I made it.” Jinx said, not getting up off the floor.

“Actually, I told you to be waiting for us when we got done. You’re a good 45 seconds late.”

“But… please? I made it in before you closed the door.” Jinx asks, sounding defeated.

“True, but not really the point. Still, you did ALMOST make it. Perhaps if you beg your mistress for mercy she’ll grant you some leniency.” You tell her, hoping to see Jinx beg Raven.

“Please Mistress? I made it here, I cleaned myself up to please you and Master. Please let me stay with the two of you tonight.” Jinx begged, each word paining her to say and yet clearly exciting her at the same time.

“Well Raven, what do you think? I’ll leave it up to you.”
