Setting Up The Tents, Of Course

Heather looked at each of her friends' faces before rolling her eyes, "Seriously, are you all that confused over this?"

"Kinda," Gavin meekly replied for them all,

"Wow," Heather sarcastically whispered to herself, "We're going camping...can anyone tell me what we need to camp?" Heather asked slowly as if talking to small children now. Everyone felt as though they were missing something obvious, "Tents! For fuck sakes, setting up the tents!"

Everyone immediately let out a grumbling scoff, "Heather, what do you fucking think we were gonna do, forget?" Kurt asked looking at his cousin dismissively,

"Well I wanted us to do it together, not just have us running off, doing whatever we wanted." Heather explained as she crossed her arms, "That was rule one with my dad. Set up camp together."

"Okay, fine, let's all set up camp then." Kurt sighed back with a toss of his hands,

"You guys want to listen to a little music?" Gavin suddenly asked causing the others to look over at him, "I brought my Bluetooth speaker." He said as he flashed the small black device,

"Sounds fun," Chloe instantly agreed, "We should all pick out a song to hear."

"Now you're talking," Brandon said with a nod, "That'll make this a lot more fun."

Gavin started to flick through his phone and after a minute called out, "Okay everyone just name the song you want to hear, and I'll cue it up!"

"Free Bird!" Kurt instantly called out,

"Oh my god Kurt, that's such a long song," Heather said while shaking her head, "That one goes last!"

"Oh come on!" Kurt grumbled out,

"Heather, what about you?" Gavin asked,

"Um..." Heather thought for a moment, "Oh, that song by The Black Keys...Howlin' For You!"

"Okay, next..." Gavin asked as he typed in the song adding to the list,

"Hey, Gavin what's that really good Bob Seger song?" Victoria asked tilting her head, trying to remember,

"Oh, are you talking about, Night Moves? That's what I was going to add!" Gavin exclaimed causing Victoria to break out into a smile,

"Yes exactly, put that one on the list!" She quickly replied,

"You got it," Gavin said with a nod, "Chloe?"

"Uh..." Chloe thought aloud, "I guess...Your Love, by The Outfield."

"Nice," Zack murmured out under his breath,

"Brandon?" Gavin called out,

"Where'd You Go, by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. I fucking love that song." Brandon instantly replied,

"Okay, okay, just gotta get that...we're good," Gavin mumbled out as he searched for the song, "Right, Ashley, what about you?"

"Maneater, I guess," She said with a shrug,"I haven't heard Hall & Oates in awhile."

"Nice one," Gavin tacked on while flipping through his phone, "Okay Zack, just you left,"

Zack let out a slow exhale, "Ah, oh, what about Everybody Wants You, By Billy Squire. That's a fun one."

"Sweet, we are all...set!' Gavin mumbled out as he linked his phone to his speaker and turned it up. Moments later they heard the music start, and each began to hum along as they started to set up their tents. With the music playing, no one felt the need to cause any problems with each other for once. Zack and Chloe were able to get their single tent set up first, followed back Brandon who had his personal tent up in only a few minutes. Gavin and Victoria lagged behind, too involved with their song once it came on to do anything but listen and sing. Kurt got his tent up and went to assist Ashley who was struggling by herself. Heather got her's up and watched as Gavin and Victoria got their's up just as Ashley did. All together it killed another twenty-five minutes for the group, though each of them silently hung around waiting for their group playlist to play out.

Once the music was finished everyone started to get ready to do what they initially wanted. Gavin and Victoria went to change into some swimming suits while Chloe and Zack wanted to go exploring, eager to get some more alone time. Kurt wanted to get the fire going, Brandon wanted to get a little distance from Ashley, so he offered to gather up more firewood. Heather decided to actually finish setting up her tent by getting her sleeping bag rolled out inside, and Ashley sat near her tent entrance, thinking about what she wanted to do, or what she should be doing.

Her plan with Kurt could quickly be set in motion while they were on the island but not if Zack and Chloe were gone the whole time. Then again pressing them would only make Chloe suspicious, and she didn't even know if Kurt had figured out a way to seduce Chloe yet. She let out a short sigh and tilted her head, wondering if she should tail Zack and Chloe or check in with her "Partner."
