Scream

You start to scream. You fall on your butt as the large black beast in front of you simply stares at you. The air felt heavy, and you felt like it was staring into your very soul. Is this it? Is this how you die? By what looked like a horrifying demon? As these questions raced through your head, the demon seemed to be confused. While they were first standing opposingly, seeming to be enjoying what felt like freedom, they suddenly seemed to be nervous, upset, holding their head like they were having a migraine. And then, it's eyes turned to you.

"SMALL CREATURE...WHAT ARE YOU?"

Ah, good, it can speak. There won't be a language barrier while it rips you limb from limb. You stutter, trying to bring yourself to say something and failing every time. It wanted to know your race it seems? After plenty of stuttering and flubbing your words, you finally manage to get something out.

"I-I'm a human."

"HUMAN...I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH YOUR KIND...I MUST HAVE BEEN GONE FOR QUITE A WHILE..." The large black demon slowly started to kneel down, staring you in the eye as you were screaming internally, preparing to get dragged down into hell, or to have a trident skewer you and leave the snow red in your blood.

"HUMAN, I AM GREATFUL FOR YOU FREEING ME! YOU HAVE UNLEASHED ME FROM A PRISON. THAT LOCKET HELD ME INSIDE, AND NOW YOU SEEM TO HAVE BROKEN THE SPELL, SETTING ME FREE!" Oh great. So not only are you gonna die but it's your fault that you very likely caused the end of the world. Today really was the worst day of your life.

"S-so um...a-are you going to...kill me?"

"THAT WAS MY PLAN, EITHER KILL YOU, OR LET YOU BECOME A DEMON AS A REWARD...HOWEVER...SOMETHING FEELS...ODD..." The demon seemed unable to look away from you, almost like it was staring into your eyes, like it was in a trance.

"ARE ALL HUMANS AS...CUTE, AS YOU ARE?" ...did this demon just call you cute? Wait, maybe it will take pity on you! Using your quick wits you decide to roll with it.

"U-um, no! Just me! They say I am the uh...'Cutest human in the entire world'!"

"I SEE...EVEN IF THAT IS THE CASE I...UUUGHH..." The demon was clutching their chest, almost like they were in a bit of pain.
