Ask if they are okay

"Are uh...are you okay, Demon?" You manage to say as you kept staring at the hulking monster in front of you. They didn't answer for a bit, just clutching their chest still like they are trying to work off some pain.

"SOMETHING IN MY CHEST...IT ACHES. IT REMINDS ME OF THOSE...'HEARTS' THAT THE ANGELS POSSESSED. THOSE WRETCHED THINGS! THEY MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING TO ME!" The demon cursed out in frustration, turning back to look at you, a mix of anger and...something else in it's gaze.

"SOMETHING IN ME, WHENEVER I LOOK AT YOU HUMAN, I FEEL...I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE IT! I FEEL WARM, AND NOT THE USUAL KIND IN HELL, BUT A WARMTH IN MY CHEST. THIS FEELS LIKE..." They seemed to **** a bit on their words, not wanting to admit it to themselves, but eventually managing to spit it out

"LOVE!"

You stare dumbfounded at the demon in front of you. What was once fear for your life, was now just sheer confusion and bewilderment. Part of you is laughing at your luck, wondering of THIS is the soul mate of the locket, but you already know now that the soul mate stuff was a lie anyway.

"Um...well I am quite flattered by that! But um, I'm afraid that I...wouldn't quite be able to accept...any such feelings."

"AND...WHY NOT?" The demons wings opened wide, causing a large gust of wind to blow past you, bringing back your fear.

"W-well um...for one I'm uh...not really into super tall people. And another I'm uh...kinda straight."

"STRAIGHT? WHAT IS...STRAIGHT?"

"...y-y'know like...only into women?" You try to explain to the demon what you mean, kind of not surprised a demonic creature isn't aware of sexuality. They just stared at you for what felt like hours to you, but was actually just a couple seconds, before standing up straight.

"THOSE ARE THE ONLY ISSUES? HMM...IF I AM TO CLEAR MY MIND AND RESOLVE THIS, I SUPPOSE IT HAS TO BE DONE."

"W-what has to be done-" Before you could fully finish speaking, the demon snapped their fingers, and a huge cloud of smoke erupted out, blanketing the area in a thick fog. You could barely see a thing! While you coughed and tried to fan away the fog, the demon seems to have vanished. Oh boy, you were in the clear. But just as you were starting to relax, you noticed something in the fog.
