Chapter 24

What's next?
Sam's third turn
With his piece positioned on the sixth tile of the board, Sam eyed the golden die intensely. Seeing it as a great opportunity to get ahead, he judged it'd be a wise decision to utilize it to further his campaign to traverse the board quickly.
As he grabbed the usual die, he also picked up the golden one, surprised to notice that it was warm to the touch. Rattling the two dice around in his hands for a little bit, he threw them to the table with great determination. This was going to be his round. The game owed him something good for a change, seeing that he didn't fancy his softer appearance and fetish for breeding.
The normal die came to a halt much sooner than the golden one, which seemed to be rolling around in an artificial manner, almost as though it was being propelled by something. If he remembered correctly, the extra dice were supposed to come with additional effects? Perhaps that's why it's taking so long to settle, because it's determining it's change variable as well as the numerical outcome.
"Is ..is it supposed to do that?"
"Hell if I know."
Katt was barely paying attention at this point, only watching his turn due to the exciting nature of the additional dice. She had the crimson one herself, a permanent pickup, so seeing the various effects that it could contribute to the already messed up nature of the game was interesting enough in itself.
After a short while, the golden die landed, with a big, shining 2 pointing up.
"Four plus two, so six! That's not too bad! That should put me at a.."
Before Sam had the chance to trace the board for his destination, his piece did him the service of moving there automatically.
"..A blue one."
Feeling silly for a moment, having partially forgot that the pieces moved on their own, he leaned in for a blue card, completely oblivious to the changes that were happening in that very moment. The further he leaned, the quicker the changes accelerated. His skin aged along with the rest of him, his face being altered to the point where it was impossible to determine whether it had aged naturally or not. Still, his appearance was unmistakenly his, albeit much older. Not that he, or anyone else for that matter, registered any of it. To them, he'd always been the strange, older next-door neighbor who happened to have a friendly tone with Barbara. Strange decision to have him be there for Sabrina's birthday though..
Isn't it rough? Playing a game so taxing.
Lets put you into something more suited for relaxing.
Enjoy a wardrobe fit for comfort and ease.
This could be your permanent getup if you so please.
Do you continue or chicken out?
Sam looked to the group, not due to a desire for help, but to see their reactions. He knew it was serious that Sabrina was locked to her current wardrobe, but at the same time, what was the big deal? There were plenty of options that could be deemed worse than wearing "comfortable" clothes. Even Sabrina's outfit didn't seem that problematic, although it was a tad skimpy. The younger generation was just so overdramatic, that's all. Especially the girls.

Catching the eye of her odd neighbor, Sam, Sabrina couldn't help but feel a sort of strange closeness and trust. As if she knew him better than she could rationally explain. All she knew about him was that he was a weird guy who may or may not have had cosmetic work done in his lifetime. Some washed up has been who clings a little too hard to his "pretty boy" phase.
Despite the odd feelings, Sabrina found it uncomfortable to keep eye contact for too long with her neighbor. She quickly moved her gaze elsewhere, hoping he'd make his decision soon so that they may get on with the game.
Not put off by the idea of wearing more comfortable clothes, at least for the duration of the game, Sam gladly accepted the card's terms and voiced his intent to continue. As per usual, the card burst into flame and vanished. Shortly after, his clothes morphed, turning into a matching baby pink hoodie and sweatpants.

"..A bit girly for my tastes, but I guess I'll manage. Its only temporary after all.. "
Being in the same boat as Sabrina with the wardrobe change, he added that last bit to his comment as a reassurance to her. Though he didn't know it, he was much older than he'd been entering the game, and with that added age came the experience and maturity one would expect. He was by no means mature for his age, but absolutely better off than he'd been only moments prior.
"So we can continue now? That's it, right? Kinda weird how the golden die didn't do anything though. Welp, your piece has stopped lighting up, so I guess it must've done something."
Sabrina as eager as ever to keep the game running, hoping to revert back to her old, beautiful Caucasian self as quickly as possible.

Chicken out: The game
A simple transformative game of chicken
Welcome to chicken out! The game so good we spun it off unchanged!! Based on the concept of Mr_Anderson. This is a game of chicken. The players each take turns rolling a die, their game piece moves accordingly and they draw a card based on the color they land on. The cards contain a text with transformative properties. After reading the card, the player can then choose to either continue or chicken out. Easy, right?
