Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2982X must be kept in a secure small item container. Telecommunication signals are to be inhibited.

Description: SCP-2982X is a mobile phone, make/model Televono Telefex Secrecy-8, running an unknown proprietary operating system with an unknown service provider. Televono is not a recognised manufacturer. No other instances of SCP-2982X are known, and the make/model has not been traced to any known organisation or concern.

It has the anomalous ability to import a user's pre-existing contacts, including highly sensitive, secret information that only the contact may be aware of, and to make congruous changes to the real life contact based on changes made to the contact information on the phone.

The results include (but are not limited to) changes in:- eye colour, weight, sexual orientation, religious belief, mental wellbeing, quality/length of life.

SCP-2982X is being investigated by the team led by Dr [REDACTED] and a group of D-Class personnel. D-4924 through D-4952 will be assigned a Foundation issued cellular phone and phone number, and these numbers will be entered into a Foundation device in the possession of Dr [REDACTED]. The SIM card from that phone will then be inserted into SCP-2982X. Records follow.
