Rose is getting her feet under herself.

After coming back to Hogwarts, Rose has been spending a lot of time trying to fit in with the other students and adjusting to her new environment. The stark differences between how the Slytherin student behaved compared to her old Gryffindor peers initially struck her as harsh and unwelcoming, but she came to appreciate their unapologetic attitude and cutthroat nature. It felt good not to have to worry about people talking behind her back or judging her for every mistake she made.

She knew how Pansy already viewed her. Rose hated Pansy but could respect how upfront and protective she is over keeping her spot at the top of the Slytherin house.

During this time, Rose has also been actively practicing her spells, not trying to get stuck under Draco and Pansy thumb. Despite not being particularly strong in any particular subject in her new body, she felt like she was steadily improving in each area of the magical arts and was looking forward to progressing even further.

She sits in Snape class. He finally got the Defense Against the Dark Arts job. His method of teaching is still quite sadistic, as he uses all means available to drill the information into the students heads.

Snape stares at Rose every time he sees her. She notices his wondering eyes many times but ignores them. But the pure cold eyes man stared at her with malicious intent, like he knew something about her.
