Requests from her lawyer

“Well I’ll do most of the talking in court.” The lawyer explained.

“But, I will need you to wear something.”

“Oh. What?" Lauren asked curiously. Nancy pulled out a blue dress on a hanger. It looked like it was silk and... pretty small?

"Are you sure that's appropriate for court?" Lauren asked.

"It will be for our defense." Nancy explained. "Oh, and one more thing. Whatever it is you do to look so different, I need you to not do it in court."

Lauren blushed furiously, even at the indirect mention of her padded bra and Spanx.

"But why?!" Lauren asked defensively.

"Because the protesting body shaming defense goes out the window when you look like you have this perfect body." Nancy explained. "Someone naked with a perfect body seems like they're showing off. Someone naked who looks how you did on the paper must be doing it for a cause."

Lauren burned inwardly at the half dozen unintended insults there.

"I... okay." Lauren said. What choice did she have? She'd gone into massive debt for this lawyer, she had to do what they said!
