Chapter 14 by Crull
Do you name your price or say that you aren't really interested?
Request 10% of the loot
"I want one-tenth of whatever post-combat loot or quest reward" You say smiling softly. One could argue that you are underselling yourself but truth to be told, your combat skills are laughable and this guy will do the most of the work in combat.
"Cool! You are in!" He accepted your price way to eagerly, it looks like you have just undersold yourself and you immediately react to get more "And you pay for food and tavern stays" You quickly add hoping to get a better deal.
"Sure." Again, he agrees almost instantly. "Let me sell my loot and..."
"Other shop will offer you a better price" You interrupt him "Trevor specializes in cheap weapons, while my uncle's shop is a generic one."
"Hey-hey, niece, don't ruin my business" Farmer Ben says with a laugh "Trevor may offer better deals in gold but I can always barter for those daggers. They are made from a rather nice metal and I can do great farming equipment out of those. Look around, is there anything a pair of adventurers may need?
Mage skeptically looks around "I don't know. There is nothing useful for my class. I planned to sell those daggers and save money till I come back to the city..." He turns his attention to you "Maybe you need something? You can repay me later from your share of loot"
Do you need anything?

Game Monster
From Creep to Boss
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
