I decided to retire and become an adventurer" Well, technically it is true. Your prostitution career was rather short but you know for sure that sucking dicks for money is not something you want to do regularly. Doing something more engaging is even more out of the question. You know that you should stop acting like a whore or you'll level up into something nasty.

"Adventurer?" Mage sounds somewhat surprised. Most likely he simply didn't expect to hear that from an NPC. "I wish you luck then. "

"Thank you" You say smiling "How was your fight against the monster wave? I missed all the fun while... " You blush and quickly lie "chatting with Uncle Ben.

"It didn't go well" He sighs "I spent all my mana almost immediately and got nothing but some small amount of XP for assists. I almost got to my level two but that damned rogue stole my kill"

So. He is a level 1 mage. 1st level adventurers of any class are still far more powerful than 2nd level npcs like you.

"Well, rogues are good thieves, aren't they?" You joke and he laughs to your little joke.

"Yep. They do. They really do. " He silently starts giving daggers to your uncle and then put a small pile of coins into his pockets. Looks like he doesn't plan to buy anything.

"Was that XP stealer from your party?" You can't stop chatting with this attractive guy.

"Nah. I don't have a party. I prefer going solo" He answers "No one gets in the way.

"But party has its benefits. Especially for mages with all your natural disadvantages" You overheard enough PC conversations to know such stuff. Than, out of pure impulse, you add. "I'd love to be in one party with you"

"Oh... I got it. You are a henchman... well henchwoman for hire. Former prostitute that wants to abandon her ways... It is neat! Much better than all those generic and boring brutes from the tavern" He rubs his chin "I may enjoy your company but first I need to know how much it'll cost me. Do you prefer a fixed salary or loot share?"
