Prom King and Queen announcement

Based on the choices made only one choice will be available for you to pick in regard to who wins Prom King and Queen.

The DJ kills the music and the room shifts instantly, two hundred seniors pulling toward the center of the floor like the night has been waiting for this moment all along.

A teacher steps up to the microphone at the front of the room, envelope in hand, wearing the expression of someone who has been entrusted with information and has been enjoying that fact all evening. The lights adjust, a single spot hitting the small makeshift stage at the front.

Teacher: alright seniors. Before we get to the main event we are going to start with your prom queen. Your top three nominees this year are Aria, Janice and Vanessa.

A wave of noise moves through the crowd, applause and whispers and the particular electric hum of a room that has opinions. Somewhere in the crowd all three girls receive this information in their own way. The teacher opens the envelope slowly, milking every last second of it, the room dropping to a near hush.
