You aim high

You want to impress the Dungeon Master with something truly special. Taking a hammer belonging to a local blacksmith is pretty easy, and wouldn't lead to a particularly remarkable tale for whoever chose it. Someone with power, like a captain of the guard, or a member of the court, would be slightly more difficult and worthy of attention, but still have a rather pedestrian story after all is said and done. You needed to aim higher and grander if you wanted to succeed.

The Imperial Palace was a good place to start.

Keeping your pristine white robes, you slowly walk through the crowded streets. The dust and dirt in the air seems to just wash over you, as if you aren't really there. An affect of you having been severed from Fate, you suspect. You hold your hands up to your face, fingers fiddling with your ring, moving back and forth. The temptation to take it off and see what would happen is strong, but the risk of losing everything you have is too great to try. Instead, you focus on the scenery around you as stroll slowly towards your destination. There is a curios dichotomy here, you realize. On one hand, The Golden Road, the pathway leading directly to the palace, was immensely and profanely decorated, showing off the power, wealth, and history of the Intransican Empire; one would need to be blind to miss it. The residents, business owners, and even the soldiers patrolling here are similarly dressed to impress, with colors and decorations seldom found anywhere else.

And yet, with your supernatural perception and vision, you see just how similar this is to the city you came from. Although you no longer have any distinct memories of your life as a gutter trash harlot, the scenes are all too familiar. Filthy streets of squalor, refuse, and despondency. The blemish in the golden facade of the Empire, an immediate counter to the propaganda taken in by the rest of the world as the greatest, strongest, wealthiest, and fairest society in all the known world. You feel a sense of contempt rising with every step, and with it, a sense of understanding. It's hard to not look down at this paltry existence, knowing what you know, and with the power you hold. While fate binds all of this a certain way, there still so many different ways this could have gone, so many better paths they could have taken, and yet none of them would venture down that road, because they are too tied to the status quo and the world they understand.

With your power and insight, the sight of the Imperial Palace is still a wonder to be hold as you approach. The home for all of the business of the Imperial Government, the structure itself is larger than many villages, and is well guarded. You will certainly be found as unwelcome, but you're sure you can find a solution to that minor nuisance.

"Halt" a soldier call from the gate at the edge of the palatial complex. Though most guards like this were strictly ceremonial, Imperial guards meant business. There was too much wealth and too many important people here to take any chances, and with the Emperor himself being a god among men, it had to be protected.

"Only Imperial citizens are allowed, and only on official business. State your position and your business" As he spoke, his guardmate dropped his halyard into a provocative state, ready to strike at a moments notice

"I'm sorry gentlemen" you say in a soft, honest, and disinterested voice "I'm not an Imperial citizen, but I am the most urgent business for my master. Won't you please let me through?"

"No!" The response was as swift as it was predictable "You're lucky we don't throw in you a cell right now for the attempt and for wasting our time. This is your one and only warning, turn back now..."

Words clearly aren't going to work here, but perhaps there's another option
