Chapter 13 by Darth_Halford Darth_Halford

What's next?

Your first test begins (Act II)

As ordered, you take some time to get yourself truly clean. You could use your new powers to just remove the cum and dirt, but with time being no constraint here, you prefer to conjure a warm bath and enjoy every moment as you scrub out all of the dirt and grime. In the process, you think of your recent experiences, and how unfathomable it would be that you would find yourself in the current position. Even the existance of your Dungeon Master himself would still boggle the mind had you not him yourself. You also begin to reflect on your time with him. There's still a part of your mind who sees him as being a little cruel and malicious. On the whole though, you see that part of him only shows itself in order to see his plans made real. You start to feel strangely attached to him, more so than you can remember anyone else. Could this be love? Not yet, you don't think. You're far more attached to the Dungeon Master than he is to you, you have to recognize that. To him, you are nothing more than an idle curiosity, another plaything. You feel yourself wanting more, but you have to keep yourself guarded against disappointment and betrayal.

With little mental clarity, you leave your conjured bath cleaner than you can ever remember being. In that spirit, you fabricate for yourself flowing white robes with a crimson trim before you rejoin your Master, who you find in his library, looking through a scrying orb at some unknown event. As soon as he sees you, he ceases the scrying and stands from his chair.

"You wished to see me, Master?" You begin, with your hands clasped in front of you

"Yes, Dungeoness. How do you feel about your time here?"

"Eternally grateful, Master" You begin "Being the only one to know who you really are, and to be given even a teaste of your power, is amazing. I can only imagine what else there is"

"That's good" He gently brushes his hand through your soft, damp hair "You continue to surprise and impress me. Training you has not been a mistake, I am sure of that. And yet, I feel that there are still doubts."

"What kind of doubts, Master?"

"Doubts that you truly understand the power you have, the strength and the limits of them, and what I have been trying to do. This is why I have chosen to give you a test."

"What sort of test?"

"The sort that will not be easy," He hands you a small simple silver ring, with a clear golden stone affixed to its center "I am sending you away from here, into the material planes. This ring will keep you tethered here, so that you can always return"

"Thank you Master. What am I to do when I get there?"

"You will find for me either a person who deserves to be uplifted, and given a new life and new fate more fitting of their true potential, or you will find bring me an item, a personal belonging of someone interesting and capable, so that we may graft someone into their story. Do you understand?"

"I think so Master. Only, what should I be looking for? What do you consider to be a success, or a failure."

"You'll have to figure that out on your own. Suffice to say, you'll know when you find it."

"Yes Master" You nod respectfully. It wasn't a big help in of itself, but you feel like it did clarify at least something. The Dungeon Master seems fascinated with the unusual and the underappreciated, among other things. That may be a place to start.

"Do you have any questions?"

"No, Master"

"Good. A final warning, Dungeoness. Do not mistake this test for freedom. I am patient to a point, but I will always have my eye on you, and if it becomes clear that you have disregarded my instructions, there will be consequences for your betrayal. You will be unmade."

"I understand Master, and I will return with something profound"

"I hope so, for your sake. Now, Begone!" With a snap of his fingers, you find yourself in a brand new world. It's midday, and you are in a bustling market square, filled with giant, opulent buildings and immense banners hanging from the rooftops. Although you have never been here before, the nagging sense in the back of your mind tells you immediately.

The Dungeon Master has thrown you into the capital of the Intransican Empire. You don't have to stay here; with your powers you could journey anywhere you wanted, but you sense that he may have put you here for a reason.
