Finding out more about this Earth

Sophie waited patiently for the elevator to descend, oblivious to the effect she was having on the two women beside her. Kate was shifting uncomfortably at being in such close proximity to her nude ex girlfriend in such a public area while Kara was confused as to why Kate was so embarrassed all of a sudden. She was handling it pretty well earlier, all things considered.

"So" Kara cleared her throat. "How do you know Kate?"

"Um..." Kate trailed off, not sure how best to explain their complicated history.

"We've been seeing each other for a few years now" Sophie said matter of fact taking Kate off guard.

Not only had she admitted to their relationship, something she rarely did back home, but they were still dating. And here she thought the nudity was the strangest thing about this world.

"Really?" Kara asked surprised.

"Yeah, though we haven't had much time together since I took over as leader of the crows." She then turned to Kate and smiled. "But we make it work, right babe?"

"Yeah, your job is really important" Kate said hesitantly, unsure of whether or not she was saying the right thing. This wasn't going to work if she couldn't convince Sophie that she was the Kate Kane she knew.

They remained silent for the rest of the elevator ride until they finally reached the floor and Sophie led the way to the labs

"So your girlfriend?" Kara whispered to Kate.

"Ex-girlfriend on my Earth" Kate whispered back. "This is kinda awkward"

"I'll bet. So what's the plan?" Kara asked.

"Once she gets us there, I'll get her out of the room and you grab our clothes and the extrapolator. We teleport away, get dressed and figure things out from there. Sound good?"

"Getting dressed definitely sounds good. How are you going to distract her?"

"I don't know. We're apparently dating so that should make things easier."

They both looked up as Sophie opened a door and motioned inside.

"Ok, it's just through here" she said.
