It goes well, for now

Kate and Kara followed Sophie into the lab where their clothes were displayed casually on a table. Kara had to resist the urge to grab them now and throw them on but they had to keep up the charade until they found the extrapolator.

"So what do you think?" Sophie asked casually, stumping the two. How were they supposed to answer that?

"What do you think they're for" Kate asked hoping she sounded convincing.

"No idea" said the lab technician. They both flinched at the realisation that there was a man in the room. And a stranger at that. It was barely bearable when it was just another woman looking at their bodies. "But some of them resemble parts of the human body, we think that's relevant."

Kate bit back a whimper as he casually picked up her bra and examined it more closely, her clothing was right there and there was nothing she could do about it. Rather than think about it more she turned her attention towards getting Sophie out of the room.

"So while Kara asks her questions, you wanna do something fun?" Kate asked hoping that this Sophie was even capable of fun.

"What did you have in mind?" Sophie asked with a mischievous smile that distracted Kate longer than it should have.

"You guys still have that sparring room on the third floor?" Kate asked.

"Sure, let me just call ahead so we can get the room to ourselves" Sophie said before leaving the room. Kate had to stop herself from celebrating once she heard she was going somewhere away from everyone else. With the exception of Sophie who had already seen everything.

"You gonna be alright by yourself?" Kate whispered to Kara.

"Yeah, probably." Kara said nervously, wishing she could cover herself. "You've been here before right? Any idea where they'd keep the extrapolator?"

"No, sorry. This building is pretty different to the one back home, it could be anywhere." She replied before Sophie stuck her head back inside.

"Hey, room's ready. You good to go?" She asked casually.

"Yeah, be right there" Kate said forcing herself to sound as normal as Sophie.

Kate followed her out of the room, quickly turning around to give Kara and encouraging thumbs up which she nervously returned before Kate disappeared down the hall.

"So what do you want to know?" The technician asked.
