John decides to take a nap, but first sets up some protection.

After John left Prue, he went up towards the room, but stopped, going down and getting some supplies for something he was planning. He gathered some crystals, some chalk and some copper, bringing all of it up to the room with him. He made three circles, one inside the other, around him and the bed, moving the bed out so it wouldn't cross over any of the circles. He made the first and outer circle of just chalk, the second circle he used the copper and chalk to make the construct, adding a few runes to the circle, and for the final one, he used the crystals, chalk, and some different runes to make the final one. He had to do more things before he could finally sleep, the first was make it so he circles would actually work.

He wasn't sure if the circles would do as they were designed for here, but he knew they'd work in the Dresdenverse, so he had to bring it here. One of the few and more difficult tricks people with his powers were summoning realities, it's generally wsn't something he didn't do at his standard level. He still had Samantha's power for another 2 minutes, which would be enough to alter the reality of the room, and hopefully his energy would be enough to sustain it for awhile. He managed to focus his powers into altering the reality of the room. It took the rest of the two minutes, and almost doing it without Sam's powers, but he managed to pull it off. Step One down, now for Step Two.

John stepped inside the first circle, using Dresden's staff to hold him up, placing it by the outer circle. Each of the circles was meant to protect against something different, and each would take more energy. The outer circle was ment to keep out spirits, any person or solid object could cross it, but the circle would be broken and drop. He willed his emotions into the first circle, until he felt a snap of energy that meant it sealed shut. He then went inside the second circle, the one that would protect against solid objects, people, rocks, bullets, ect. and willed that shut. He went inside the third circle, and went to seal that shut. That circle would protect against both spirit and solid, and was generally designed to keep out things like Fallen or demonic demi-gods.

After willing the final circle closed with the power of the emotions he got through the past days, he passed out on the bed, currently running low on both energy from his power, and magical energy from Dresden.
