Belle steps out into the open

"Um, excuse me..."

Aladdin and Jasmine's kiss had started to deepen and, being newlyweds, their hands were starting to move in ways that Belle thought was inappropriate for a stranger to observe.

Aladdin spun quickly around, placing himself between his beloved bride and the unknown speaker. When he saw the fair-skinned and oddly dressed beautiful dressed European girl, he relaxed and smiled.

"My apologies, you startled me."

Belle blushed and giggled. "Not as much as you startled me by flying in here."

Aladdin and Jasmine laughed softly at that, then Jasmine stepped up. "Forgive our manners. I am Princess Jasmine of the city of Agrabah, and this--"Jasmine gave Aladdin's right bicep an affectionate squeeze"--is my new husband and consort, Prince Aladdin."

Belle's eyes widened when she learned these exotic strangers were royalty, and immediately curtsied. "Forgive me, highnesses, for my lack of manners."

Jasmine moved forward and straightened Belle up. "Please, we are strangers in your land. Besides, until we were married, my husband was a commoner." She giggled and added conspiratorially, "Commoner than most, in fact."

Aladdin added dryly, "My wife. Always singing my praises."

Jasmine wrapped her arms around her husband's waist as he hugged her around her shoulders. Then Jasmine again addressed Belle. "But, please, new friend, you haven't told us your name. And where exactly are we?"

"High---"

Jasmine wagged her finger at Belle. "Just Jasmine."

Belle took a deep breath. This was like something out of one of her books. "Jasmine, my name is Belle, and over that way is my home village. You are in the country of France. Tell me, this Agrabah...is this in Arabia?"

Jasmine nodded. "Yes, it is."

Belle looked at the carpet. "And you flew here on that?"

Jasmine nodded. "Yes we did."

Aladdin added, "..."
