Chapter 4
by Connor2455
Will Theron try to jog Kass' memory, or perhaps he'll just let him relax and get used to everything?
Theron tells Kass stories from his past
Theron lead Kass back to the tavern. They had no trouble finding a secluded table, as the tavern was not very crowded at this time of the day. It seemed like only drunks, or people with odd job hours had the time to be drinking in late afternoon.
They sat quietly for a moment before Theron began to talk.
"I remember a time when you and I went down to the old fishing spot. We fished there for hours," Theron paused to give a small chuckle, "I kept pulling them in, while you spent hours and hours going without so much as a nibble... Do you remember?"
Kass sat there staring blanky at Theron, almost as if he hadn't been paying attention, but then he replied, "No, I do not remember. I already told you, I'm not this Alexander."
Theron frowned at that remark, "You are. I'm sure of it. How do you know your not him? Who gave you your name?"
Kass was surprised by the sudden barage of questions and he looked away, "What does it matter? I may not remember who I am, but how do I know for sure that your telling the truth about knowing me?"
how should Theron respond?
Heart of the Hunted.
