Stay with the game or follow Vicky and Zack?

Vicky and Zack

Zack walked a few steps behind Victoria. Under normal circumstances, he would be staring at the blonde’s well-tones ass as she moved, but this was not a normal circumstance. She was upset. And if Zack knew only one thing about women, it was to not think about sex in front of a woman when she's upset. So he kept his eyes on the back of her head as they walked away from the cabin.

When the two teens got to the public beach area, Victoria turned to Zack, threw herself into his arms, buried her head in his shoulder, and cried. Shocked, Zack wrapped her up and just let her do her thing. As she sobbed, he rubbed her back to sooth her. Eventually, her tears soaked through the fabric of his shirt.

The wailing coming from Victoria echoed across the water. Zack could hear her tears dripping off her cheeks and onto his sleeve. His legs cramping, Zack staggered over to a bench and tried to sit. However, the way she was wrapped around him prevented him from do so without hurting her. He was about to say something when a thought came to him. Rather than disrupt the poor girl, he gently scooped her up and sat down. Victoria barely stirred as he placed her carefully in his lap.

The pair sat motionless for what seemed like hours as Victoria cried in his arms. Zack stared straight ahead at the lake while she cried. Suddenly, Zack felt her eyes on him. His heart ached as he looked down at the girl who had possessed his thoughts for the better part of two years. Even though they were bloodshot from crying, Zack still thought Victoria’s eyes were the most beautiful he had ever seen. Gently, he wiped away the last of her tears.

“Thank you,” Victoria whispered.

“You’re welcome,” Zack replied.

They remained silent for a few more minutes before Victoria began talking. Just like when she was crying, Zack figured it would be best to let her speak out her frustrations and only offer input if it was asked for.

“I…I’m sorry Zack,” she apologized.

“What for?” he puzzled.

“For ruining your good time. I know you’d rather be in there watching the girls take their clothes off, and God knows whatever else they're doing now, instead of being stuck out here with me!” the blonde grimaced as a million thoughts entered her head.

“You did nothing wrong, Vicky. You have no need to apologize to anyone. In fact, I think everyone in that cabin should be saying they’re sorry to you. I’m sorry that you had to go through that,” Zack sighed.

“Thank you. But that still doesn’t change the fact that you should be back there with everyone else instead of out here with the drama queen,” Victoria moaned, almost on the brink of tears again.

“I think I’m right where I need to be,” Zack admitted. “So if there’s anything you want to say about what happened in there, I’m here to listen. No comments, no opinions, no suggestions from me unless you ask for them. You can say whatever you want, or say nothing at all. And I won’t judge you in the least. Whenever you’re ready, just let it out. When you’re done talking just squeeze my hand so I know.”

Victoria smiled at Zack’s offer. After taking a sip of water, she adjusted her seat on Zack’s lap and thought of a place to start. There were so many things she wanted to tell him, but was afraid to, in fear of burdening him with too much information.

“Why?” she asked.

“Why what?” Zack panicked, thinking that he may have upset the girl in his lap even more than she already was.

“Why’d Hannah do that to me? Why’d she try to **** me to do something I didn’t want to do? She’s known me since I moved next door to her and Ashley. She knows I’m not like that, so why’d she do it?” Vicky said as another tear rolled down her face.

“I’ve known Hannah a lot longer than you. She and Taylor are two peas in a pod most of the time. But every so often, Hannah just gets this “my way or no way at all” attitude about her and the concept of a middle ground disappears entirely from her thought process. I suspect that’s what just happened to you. Normally she would have given you an option to undress slowly but this time, she heard you pass on taking off your dress and went ballistic. When that happens, not even Taylor can get her to calm down,” Zack informed her.

“Okay, I can understand that, but what about everyone else? There were other people shouting at me: Heather for sure. Kurt and Madison too. Lisa and I think, maybe, Taylor. All of them. And Ashley certainly didn’t help with that joke of hers the turn before,” Vicky wrapped Zack up again as she sobbed.

How does Zack respond?
