Miles 'Prowler' Brown, Age 22

Yeah, his parents were Sonic the Hedgehog fans. They named him after a certain fox, since unlike Sonic, Miles can be argued to be an actual name.

His initials are M.P. Brown. That went over about as well as expected in school. As a kid, he had the choice of being mocked over a video game or being mocked over toilet jokes. It was never a real decision. Toilet jokes get grosser the older you get, while video game jokes stay tolerable. But by now Miles has heard every Sonic reference imaginable. The problem is that Sonic was not a franchise allowed to die quietly.

Now Miles would like to think he is the average guy. Unremarkable. The kind of guy who would rather stick with the crowd because he knows exactly what happens when you stand out.

While he had friends in primary school, secondary, and even university. They keep in contact. But Miles' main issue is that despite doing everything right, he has noticed he is less living life and more cruising through it. Like it was on autopilot and he never had any real control. That was never a pleasant feeling.

Now Miles, despite his university degree, which his entire life he had been told would get him a good job, was working at the bottom rung. An unpaid intern in an office job that he was slowly expecting would lead nowhere save for "experience" on his resume.

What Miles did take solace in is one thing. Superheroes. Yes, it is cliche to grow up still liking people who amazed you as a kid, but Miles' appreciation for them had only grown as he matured. He was in awe that there were people out there with power, skill, and resources who actively devoted them to helping others and making the world a better place.

That baffled Miles, whose personal experience with humanity had left him realising that good people were the exception. And that living with your head down was the only way to survive.

Fortunately his days of monotony were over, because he discovered his power.
