they march
towards the Red Sands
With Dehya leading, the group left the Akademiya behind and pushed back into the wilderness that bordered the desert.
Her value showed immediately. Even while they were still in the denser jungle edges, her knowledge of hidden animal trails, water sources, and safe resting spots more than doubled the pace they had managed on their own. What had taken them days of slow, careful progress before now fell away in efficient hours. By late afternoon they had already reached a good clearing at the true edge of the Great Red Sand.
Then they made camp.
And Dehya’s confident mercenary composure took hit after hit.
First she watched the women of the party casually drift toward Aether the moment the tents were up — no discussion, no hesitation, just a natural, practiced rotation. Rosaria claimed him first with possessive ease. Ganyu followed, cowbell soft. Lisa, Yelan, Cloud Retainer, and even the usually blank Shenhe took their turns without friction. He handled each of them effortlessly, reading their bodies and giving them exactly what they needed until they were limp and satisfied.
Then Yelan opened the suitcase.
Faruzan emerged still fully bound, ball-gagged, and soaked. The Haravatat scholar was trembling and visibly squirting in small, continuous pulses simply from the bondage and the earlier rough use. Dehya stared as the group treated the sight like it was completely normal — cleaning her up just enough, giving her water, then setting her aside still restrained so she could watch the rest of the evening with glassy, eager eyes.
The sheer synergy of the party was the final blow.
They moved around one another like a single organism. Weapons, cooking, watch rotations, even the casual sharing of Aether’s cock all happened with almost no wasted words. It was the kind of seamless coordination Dehya usually only saw in elite mercenary units that had bled together for years.
By the time the others had been satisfied and the fire had burned down to low coals, Dehya realized it was her turn.
She sat across from him, suddenly a lot less cocky than she had been at the Akademiya gates. Her usual easy grin was still there, but her thighs were pressed together and a faint flush darkened her cheeks. For the first time that day the Flame-Mane looked like she had wet feet — nervous, aroused, and very aware that she was about to be measured against a group of women who already knew exactly how to take everything this man could give.
Aether looked at her with calm, open invitation.
Dehya swallowed once, then gave a short, self-mocking laugh.
“…Alright. I talked a big game about steamy nights and no limits. Guess it’s time I prove it.”
She stood up, already reaching for the clasps of her outfit, the confidence returning even as her body made it clear she was more than a little affected by everything she had just witnessed.
Within an hour the proud lioness was purring like a kitten.
Dehya had started the night with her usual bold energy — strong thighs wrapping around him, confident rolls of her hips, filthy encouragement whispered against his ear. She had clearly expected to match him, maybe even tire him out a little.
Instead she was the one who folded.
Aether took his time breaking her open. Deep, steady thrusts that found every sensitive spot, mixed with rougher stretches that forced soft, involuntary sounds out of the mercenary’s throat. Every time she tried to reclaim control he simply adjusted, pinned her wrists, or changed the angle until her strength turned into trembling. The same overwhelming presence that had rewritten so many others before her settled over Dehya like a warm, heavy blanket.
She could actually feel it happening.
With every thrust a quiet, instinctive loyalty was being carved into her. The urge to stay, to protect him, to keep coming back for more. It settled low in her belly alongside the growing heat of another orgasm. By the time he finally flooded her womb the Flame-Mane was clinging to him, forehead pressed to his shoulder, making soft, continuous sounds that were far too close to purring for a woman who had introduced herself as a no-limits mercenary.
Lisa watched from the other side of the fire with open amusement, chin resting on one hand.
“There goes another one,” she murmured, smiling. “He’s collecting permanent fixtures at this point. Though…” her eyes flicked toward the still-bound and blissfully ruined Faruzan, “not all of them will stay. That one will scamper back to her books the moment we return to the Akademiya. But this one…” she nodded at the thoroughly tamed Dehya currently nuzzling into Aether’s neck, “I suspect we’ll be seeing a lot more of.”
Dehya only made another low, contented sound and tightened her arms around him, already half-lost to the new gravity that had just settled into her chest.
The next morning the change in Dehya was impossible to miss.
The free-spirited, independent Flame-Mane who had offered her sword and her body as a simple contract the day before was gone. In her place sat a woman whose entire gravity had shifted. She stayed close to the group, watched Aether with quiet attentiveness, and moved with the instinctive deference of someone who had been thoroughly claimed. One night had been enough to reform her completely.
When the others casually sent Aether off with Ganyu to fetch water from a nearby spring, Dehya seized the opening.
She waited until the two were out of earshot, then turned to the remaining women with a serious, almost animal seriousness.
“Alright. Cards on the table,” she said, voice low. “Whatever he did last night… it stuck. I can feel it. My loyalty’s not mine anymore — it’s his. I’m in this pride now, whether I planned it or not.”
She looked around at Rosaria, Lisa, Yelan, Cloud Retainer, and the still-bound Faruzan.
“I don’t know any of you. I don’t know how this works. Who stands where. Who speaks first. Who gets him when. I need the pecking order, and I need to know where a newly added lioness is supposed to slot in. Treat me like a wild animal that just got dropped into an established herd — because that’s basically what happened.”
Her golden eyes were steady, no longer cocky, just practical and a little raw.
“So. Who’s at the top under him? Who do I answer to? And how do I stop myself from stepping on tails I don’t even see yet?”
The desert mercenary waited, completely serious, for the women who already belonged to Aether to tell her where she fit in the pride she had just been fucked into.
