A fighter amongst the streets

"Fuck...!"

A lean woman cursed under her breath as she leaped over a trash bin.

She looked over her shoulder, just in time to see one of the strangers pursuing her vanish yet again...

"What is that freak...!?"

Juri Han snarled under her breath.

Ever since the famous Crime Organization Shadaloo had fallen, Juri had been growing more and more irritated.

She had dedicated her whole life to bring down M.Bison, the Leader of Shadaloo.

But even after M.Bison's **** and Shadaloo's demise, Juri couldn't find peace in her life.

To be more precise, she didn't want peace in her life. She wanted ****.

Therefore, she was used to getting entangled with some street thugs or some other criminal organization.

She liked fighting, and street fight was one of the very few things she would consider a hobby of hers.

On any other days, she wouldn't shy away from someone else chasing her down.

However, today was different.

He was differnet.

"...!"

Juri halted in her steps as she came face-to-face with a dead end of an alley.

Normally, a wall like this won't cause her too much trouble.

She could easily jump over if given a few seconds... but Juri was positive that the people chasing her now won't give her such time.

"Alright then, you nut-job..."

Juri took a deep breath and took her signature pose.

"It's my turn!"

One of the pursuers phased out of the left side of the wall as if it was made out of gas.

Juri swiped wide with her right leg, landing a clean hit at the assaulter's temple.

Juri's eyes twitched in pain as her feet cracked the protective head gear of the man, but she could also tell that her kick had left some damage on him as well.

"That's barley legal, you know!"

Ignoring her foot pain, Juri quickly spun around and knocked the man into the same wall he had phased through by landing a back kick straight in his stomach.

The wall smashed into pieces and the man crashed into it.

"Come on, is that it?"

Juri smirked.

Maybe this man, whoever they were, wasn't as tough of an opponent as she had assumed.

The man let out a groan and fumbled with his broken head gear.

"...requesting...back up...beta level threat..."

"Pardon?"

Juri frowned.

She had no idea what this man was blabbering about.

"Hey, if you can still fight, then get up! I don't have—gah!"

Juri was about to prod the man up when a sudden flash of light blinded her.

Juri stumbled back with her hands over her eyes.

When she managed to rub out the black spot from her eyes, she realized that the man had vanished, leaving nothing but a small trail of smoke behind

"...what was that?"

Juri scowled.

This didn't feel normal at all, but this also didn't feel like Shadaloo...which meant getting involved more was a waste of time.

Whatever organization was behind, lurking in the shadows, Juri hoped that they were sensible enough to lay off her from nowon.

Unfortinently, just when she was just about to walk out of the alley, someone stood in her way.

And when she realized who the man was, her eyes widened with shock.

It was impossible.

He was supposed to be dead.

"...M.Bison!"

...HAHAHAHAHAHA...

M.Bison, with his signature laugh, arose from the ground using his Psycho Powers.

Juri clenched her teeth.

Despite her rage bubbling up inside her, she couldn't help but to smile.

She had never thought that she'd be glad to see him, but she really was.

"I'll kill you so hard, nobody will recognize the corpse!"

Juri spat as she ran towards M.Bison.

[Line Break - 30 minutes later]

"Transmit incoming from Earth SF19742368. Stand by."

"Copy that. Linking dimensions."

With a whirl of sci-fi noises, a blue portal opened up in the underground station of RealDreams Co.

M.Bison walked through the portal with an **** Juri over his shoulder.

M.Bison set down the **** fighter onto the stretcher rolled out by several drone.

Then, a special chip implanted in M.Bison's neck activated.

Bzzzz!!

"...!!"

Without even a scream of pain, M.Bison disinterested into a pile of dust right where he stood.

It was one of the many fail-safety measures run by RealDreams.

Whenever they sent a Character to another dimension to do their work, it was company policy to make sure that they were terminated afterwards.

Meanwhile, Juri was quickly carried to the basic modding center while being strapped to the stretcher.

There, a handful of automated machines quickly provided the most basic modifications required for a Character.

Limited abilities, a hint of perception manipulation, and finally, the biological link to her soon-to-be master...named James Gardner.

After the quick surgeries were done, Juri was transported to a temporary custody until she regained her consciousness.

"Oooh..."

As soon as she was awake, a handful of tranquilizers were appiled so that she wouldn't cause any mayhem before getting taken to the "Rehabilitation Center".

There, she was **** to learn the basic rules of the world and what role did they—the Character—served.

Needless to say, Juri was less than enthusiastic.

She tried to make an escape for it...which obviously failed.

"Hnngh!! Ennghh!!"

After being subdued in a few seconds, Juri was ported to the "Forceful Rehabilitation Center" where they had some un-willing Characters learn their lesson by forcing it into their head.

Both figuratively, and literally.

"HHHHNNNGGGHHH!!!"

In total, after an hour and a half, Juri was properly prepared as a Character within the world.

"I have to walk over to my "master" with my own feet? Lazy ass..."

Juri scowled at the front desk.

"Hey, it's either that or getting trashed. You know which is the better option."

The desk manager replied with a shrug.

Juri scoffed.

"Unfortunately..."

While grumbling to herself, Juri walked out into the street.

'Whoever this Master fucker is...he'd better give me a good fight...'
