Gnarl talks to me in my head. "You know master. A good man would respect her choice. Let her be happy with someone else. However if you let yourself fall to evil, you can watch him die by your feet while holding her in your arm." I don't respond to him. He's right. I do want to watch Borius die and to make Kelda change her mind. However if I do that, then I prove the townsfolk rite. I won't be a chosen hero. I'll be a witch boy again. A devil child. All those horrible things they said I was would be true.

I keep moving towards the mayor's house. I see a statue of Borius. I order my minons to destroy it out of spite. I then fight through more soliders unitil I make to the bottom of the elevator. Luckily for Borius, hes long gone.

As I keep marching towards the mayor's house, Gnarl decides to let me in on a conversation with Borius and his brother that Gnarl finds funny. Borius starts it. "Brother, you were the 1 who sent me hear weren't you?" Marius scoffs. "I don't know what you mean." Borius doesn't believe him. "You did! Just because you knew the Emperor favors me." Marius trys to change the subject. "You blubbery fool. No wonder mama left." Borius gets mad. "Don't bring mama into this. Thats it. I'm done speaking to you!" Marius responds. "Fine." Borius emidietly dose the opposite of what he said he would do. "Fine." Marius keeps talking. "Fine." The 2 brothers keeps going back and forth saying fine to 1 another. Gnarl keeps letting me hear this until he stops finding it funny.

A little more walking and killing later I finally make it to the mayor's house. I break through the door and lift Kelda's dad up so he can look me in the eye's. "Tell the guards to stop attacking me and tell the people of Nordberg I'm not raiding or I'll rip you in half." I place him next to a microphone next to a magic ball. The magic ball sound like a crummy loud speaker. "A-attention people of Nordberg. The Witch Boy did not come back for **** like we thought he would. He is just hear for a visit. So no more attacking him."

Kelda runs to her dads house hearing that I was back and has to see it for herself. Her eyes fill with tears as she sees me. "Witch boy? Witch boy! Is it really you? You came back! I thought you died." She hugs me. "I did die, I was brought back. I'm so sorry you had to wait so long." I hug her back. She's shocked to hear I actually died. A few moments later I break the hug. "Come with me. Lets leave Nordberg behind and never look back." She always told me she wanted to leave this place, so her hesitation surprises me. "Are you truly back or are you undead?"

I ask Gnarl in my head if I've been truly reserected or if I'm undead. He tells me. "I made you a Netherghul. I took a heart from a greater demon and put it in your chest cavity. Your flesh regrew around your skeleton except your heart, wich has been replaced by the demons heart." I panic. "Wait, dose that mean I'm a demon and all my DNA is gone?" He asnswer. "No, don't worry master. The only thing different about your new body is the heart and that your face has been changed to look like the previous overlords. If you have children, they will have your DNA, not the demons I stole the heart from."

I sigh in relief. Kelda looks at me confused since she didn't hear any of that. I explain. "My heart and my face has been changed, but I'm alive." She's confused but continues. "If I go with you, what happens next?" I think for a moment before answering. "First we go to Spree. You stay in the village while I go rescue there food like I promised. Then I train you how to defend yourself from monsters. Then we go on a big quest to find a way to replace the demon heart in my chest with a human 1. Then we go on another big quest to undo the corruption on my friends. Then after that, I don't know. Either I stay overlord or go back to being a hero. I haven't fully decided yet but I'm leaning towards going back to being a hero."

This depends on Kelda. She's always wanted to leave Nordberg and shes in love with me. If she agrees to go with me now, then my only reason to go evil gos away. Gnarl will see I'm too far gone and he'll take my minons from me and Sarah will become overlady.

However for 9 years Kelda has been slowly corrupted to want to be a sex toy to a rich noble. 9 years of corruption doesn't just go away. Perhaps she will want to wait a few days to make up her mind, giving Borius time to finish her corruption. Then I would have to let Gnarl corrupt me into a true evil overlord to stop him.

This 1 choice Kelda is about to make will change the trajectory of my life forever. Will she go with me emidietly and I go back to being a hero? Or has her corruption run so deep, she's considering being a sex toy over being loved and needs time to think? Ergo I'll need the army being the overlord provides and must let Gnarl corrupt me to protect her.
