“Rescue”

They leave Claire’s frozen form by the elevator, awkwardly propped up against the wall. Katie thought the black girl look funny that way, retaining a look of surprise on her face.

Together with Katie, she and Mark began searching the floor for Janice, Jaqueline, Rose or Vivian. Mark honestly thought a crime gang like this would have more people in it, yet the whole area remained seemingly abandoned.

“No sign of anyone else so far,” Mark grumbled.

“Is that good or bad,” Katie asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Uh—both I guess?” Mark replied.

Soon they came across a door to another room. Mark and Katie quietly nodded to each other before quickly opening the door and heading inside. They are met by Vivian Bailey tied to a chair, and alone. All in all, for someone who was kidnapped, Vivian looked good and didn’t have any injuries or even bruises.

“Who… who are you.”

“I’m Mark, this is Katie. We go to school with you.”

“Your sister sent us,” Katie said.

“Oh, thank God! So, your here to rescue me?” Vivian asked, seemingly on the verge of tears.

“Uh… kind of,” Mark replied.

“What do you mean kind of?” Vivian asked, a look of confusion now on her face.

“Vivian stop,” Mark said allowed. The blonde did exactly as she was told.

“Couldn’t at least get her to walk down to the car first,” Katie asked, briefly looking back into the main area.

“Oops,” Mark said with a simple shrug. He then reached down and clawed at one of Vivian’s breasts through her shirt. The frozen teen didn’t seem to mind, instead staring forward with blank blue eyes.

“We’ll leave her here for now, we will pick her up later when we’re done.”

Mark wanted to put of this, but knew Katie was right. “Fine, let’s go.”

The door of them search the rest of the floor, but find no one else. They then stand in front of a door to the last room, and it is obvious someone is inside, even with the door closed. Mark and Katie don’t dare say a word, and ever so quietly they open the door and slip inside.

The soon find themselves standing in what was clearly an office of some sort, with an older brunette in her 40’s, and what was clearly a teenager. They didn’t seem to notice Mark and Katie walking into the room, too engrossed in a phone call.

“Just make sure you get a good deal on the goods this time Janice,” the older woman said into the phone. “It’s needs to match in quality to the real thing at first glance, or don’t return.” She then hung up the phone. The younger girl said nothing. Mark decided now was a good time to get the woman’s attention.

“So, your must be the famous Jaqueline. And I assume this is your daughter Rose?” Mark said aloud. This got both individuals attentions.

“Oh fuck. Rose, run,” Jaqueline called out to the young teen in the room.

The girl known as Rose began to do as she was told, heading towards a side door. She was quick, but Mark was quicker.

“Rose stop,” Mark commanded.

The girl was already halfway across the room when she suddenly stopped in place.

“Rose! What are you doing? Don’t listen to him! I said to get out of here!”

Rose did not respond and continued to hold her pose. If one looked closely, one would have seen she wasn’t even breathing.

“Oh, don’t worry about her,” Mark said as he causally approached the now frozen teen. “She’ll look great on display in my room.”

“Get the fuck away from my daughter you son of a bitch!”

“You will look great on display there too,” Mark said causally.

“What the fuck are you talking about?”

“Jaqueline stop,” Mark said aloud almost lazily. The older woman continue to stare the intruder down, but did not move a muscle. She no longer could.

“Is that it,” Katie asked.

“I think so,” Mark replied.

“Man, I feel kind of useless here,” Katie bemoaned.

“I wouldn’t have had this places address without,” Mark replied. “Besides, I still need help carrying them to the car.”

“Yay,” Katie sarcastically groaned.

Together they went to pick Jaqueline up and out of her chair. The “crime boss” didn’t care at all and remained stiff as she is carried over to the elevator, leaving her body against her equally frozen enforcer. A few minutes later, Mark and Katie return with Rose, and later Vivian. All four women hold their poses, even as they are loaded into the elevator, and eventually Mark’s car.
