Talking to Maisie

"So that wasn't your boyfriend then?" Amy asked Maisie, knowing the answer already but feeling it might be a good way to begin testing the water with her.

"What, Jake? No, he's my best friend since childhood. We love each other, but not in a romantic way"

Maisie flopped down on an armchair opposite Holly and her new girlfriend and tapped her wine glass expectantly. Holly sighed and reluctantly lifted herself up from the couch, where she had been resting her head on Amy's lap and enjoying having her hair stroked. She walked over with the bottle and partly filled her younger sisters glass with red wine, though not as much as Maisie was urging her to. She then went back to the couch and resumed her previous position.

"So, you don't actually have a boyfriend then?" Amy asked, continuing her line of questioning.

"No, Jake and I decided I shouldn't date anyone at the moment" Maisie answered as she sipped her drink.

"You decided together?" the secret witch asked in surprise.

"Sorry, that came out a little wrong" Maisie giggled slightly awkwardly as she placed her glass back on the table "I decided. I just talked to him about it to get his opinion. But I feel like I don't need the distraction at the moment, and I'm only eighteen. So I have plenty of time"

That all sounded so unnatural to Amy. Maisie seemed like such a sweet girl and she hated the idea of a controlling guy magically dictating that she couldn't date. However, the only person she blamed for that was herself. This was the curse she created being used, it seemed, almost exactly as intended. The gorgeous young woman in front of her was being made to pay the price for Rosalind being scorned nearly four hundred years before Maisie had even been born. There wasn't a huge amount she could do about it for now though. Quite apart from the fact that Amy's magical charge had been severely limited by the curse, her powers didn't work at all on men anymore, which seemed to be linked to the same thing. So it wasn't even like she could use her abilities to manipulate Maisie's master into laying off her.

"Anyway, enough about me. What about you two?" Maisie swiftly changed the subject while she had the opportunity to "It's strange, because I never saw this coming, but it totally makes sense"

"I can't believe it took me nearly a quarter of a century to figure out that guys are a waste of time and this is exactly what I needed" Holly agreed "Maybe you should try the same thing Mais, since you are taking a break from boys?"

"Maybe I will" Maisie laughed "It might make my life a whole lot less complicated"

From there the conversation moved away from relationships, or lack of them, to the trio joking around and Maisie telling a few cute stories about Holly as a youngster. It was clear the sisters, despite their contrasting personalities, had an incredible bond, and Amy hated the idea that something she had done was potentially damaging someone the person she was falling for loved so much. She would fix the mess she had caused, she vowed to herself. And hopefully for good.

Eventually, Maisie was starting to have trouble keeping her eyes open and excused herself to bed, leaving the other two to finish the bottle before making their way upstairs themselves.

"Do you not think the situation with your sister and her friend is a little odd?" Amy asked, as she enjoyed the now familiar but always stimulating view of Holly undressing in front of her.

"I guess it must seem that way. But it's a little complicated with those two" Holly answered diplomatically as she unhooked her bra, freeing her firm and perky tits "I will say he absolutely adores my sister"

"It just seems like such a waste though. She's so gorgeous!" Amy opined.

"Is it me you're interested in or my kid sister?" a now fully nude Holly joked as she climbed into bed and cuddled up to her witch girlfriend.

With the way the evening had gone, and with how she was feeling right now, there was something Amy couldn't hold in any longer..

"Okay Holly, I have something I need to tell you. It's big, and I don't want it to freak you out. So I'm just going to come right out with it"

"I really don't think anything you would say is going to upset me" Holly assured her as she stroked Amy's back "But go for it"

"I love you"

Holly broke into a wide and beautiful smile, her eyes sparkling with delight.

"You beat me to it. I was worried if I said first it I might scare you off. I love you too, Amy"

After the loved up pair had shared a deep and passionate kiss, Holly quickly and contentedly fell asleep in Rosalind's arms while the witch remained wide awake, her mind racing. She couldn't even remember the last time she had said those words to anyone. It was such an irresponsible thing to do, because she always had to leave without a trace when it became too obvious that she wasn't ageing like her partner was. But this time it could be different. She was still a long way from revealing her biggest secret to Holly. But in so many ways this was going way better than she ever could have hoped.
